    Ugly team.

I support to trade Yao since we don't need him.

    Steve Francis haters unite!!!!

People may wonder why others criticize Stevie for these losses...those two free throws are a wonderful example.

Jeesh! This game should never have gone to overtime.

Grif had a good game. He's developing along nicely along with Yao. What a game he had. Stats almost identical to Yao's, except he threw up a lot more shot attempts.

Interesting that Yao had a 'quiet' game coz no one seems to want to or is able to throw him the friggin' rock... yet he ends up with an understated double-double and 5 huge blocks. I thought his 3 blocks in the 4th quarter really stopped Eddie Jones's momentum.

Someone tell Steve that you live by those crazy drives, but also die by those. Tonight he came up big.

    HAHA...We won!!!

Mr Griffin...welcome to the big time!!

He had a great game overall but those two free throws to give us a 3 point lead was the clincher. Game ball to big Eddie.

Yao played great with career highs in offensive rebounds (8) and blocks (5). He also went 5-6FG which begs the question...HOW DOES HE ONLY TAKE 6 SHOTS in 41 minutes?!?! And many of his shots were on offensive board putbacks.

Gotta vent at Stevie and Cat. Why do they shoot without anyone touching the ball? Do they (and Rudy) not know how to pass to Yao when he's being fronted? Had they played smarter, more team-oriented basketball, this game wouldn't have gone into overtime. And what's with Stevie missing both free throws at the end of games??

That said...we don't win without Steve and Cat. The three by Stevie. The clutch drive in OT by Cat. The great D by Cat on an unconscious Eddie Jones and then the hustle and smart TO by Stevie. Man...sometimes, I love how these guys play but too often, I hate it too. Get back to Houston fellas and believe that you are some lucky SOBs.

    I digress Mr. Vengeance, I digress.... :)

Glad to see Stevie make up for his day. Haha....maybe he sets up his game-tying 3 pointers with these missed free throws.

That is in large part because he was fronted the whole game, so he has inside position on offensive misses. At least that IS an advantage to being fronted, because they can't get the ball to him when he's fronted. It's going to hurt us when all the other teams do the same. I'm surprised that it hasn't caught on after seeing what Dallas did to Yao.

SF and CM shoot the ball 37 times, while YM only gets 6 shots total. The result, is a very close game, which the Rockets barely win. Is this the formula for success? Let SF and CM shoot 30 more times than YM?

Such an imbalance, are you aware of it?

Francis Mobley, Griffin and KT shot 24 of 59=40.6%

Yao Ming shot 5 of 6 for 83.3% Who is hot and who is not?

It should not be. The discrepancy is way too big and it makes me wonder whether Steve and Cat just talk, but are not willing to follow it up.

They way i see it if we get rid of Steve Francis this teams goes down hill. The team needs him. Steve and Yao are the future no if,and's, or but's about it. So everybody just needs to take a chill pill and let the team gel together. They'll get their sh*t together. Just wait and see.

Isolation. It's when one man takes on his defender 1 on 1, and all the other players stand out of the way, basically at the 3 pt line on the other side. So, if the shot is missed, there isn't a chance in hell of getting an offensive rebound. So, when that play is called, if it's called, , the guy better be hot, and have a good matchup for a high percentage shot. Not very common lately.

It seems to me that the reason Yao Ming only got six shots is because Miami defended him VERY well. He was being fronted VERY physically by Brian Grant and had very little chance to get the ball in a position to score. There were several times he got the ball and tried to take it to the hole only to be doubled-up. Yao Ming still doesn't have a tremendous amount of skill in getting the ball when he's being fronted. Give it time and he'll have better skills at that -- then they will have NO WAY to defend him.
