    :D
Grizzlies must be constantly feeling pain this season (I mean all the seasons that Franchise and Dynasty win the rings). First, they traded the Franchise to Houston. Next, they let Franchise picked the #1 draft lottery ticket to get Dynasty! :D

    You know what sucks though?

Probably all 3 of their PF's are better than all 3 of our PF's. Collectively and individually.

Ming will eat Gasol up, but Gasol will eat Ming up too. Hopefull, Griffin and KT can be special and be the x-factor.

This is a perfect spot for a letdown game. Hopefully the Rockets don't look past these guys. We need to win the games we are supposed to win...and this is certainly a game we are supposed to win.

Well, since their is obviously some kind of weird law of physics that prevents the Rockets from winning three games in a row...

    Grizzlies 110
    Rockets 80

We should win going away but Gooden has been playing well lately and, what's more, Eddie sucks on the road.

This is a road game, right?

I'm sure Rudy and Steve will stress that we can't take any teams lightly.

If unfortunately Rocket lost to Grizzlies and Yao behave bad....

Now we are all on high expection to Yao and Rocket and looking forward to a big win to Grizzlies, but if failed, can we have enough tolerance? what would you say?

I think Yao ming can learn more from a lose with his high basketball IQ, so lose is not a bad thing. If win, of course, Cheers! Suddenly I can keep my heart in peace and I see the
    championship is not far away.

We should win this game. At the begining of the week, I saw we were playing SAC at home, the Grizz on the road (now 5-18 overall, 4-8 at home) and the Clips at home on Sunday. I thought then as I think now, we should win all three. Hopefully, we will defend our home court well all year, beat the lesser teams on the road with few exceptions and steal a game here and there from good teams on the road.

This is one of those games against a lesser team. The Grizz are a talented, but not yet developed team. They will be harder to beat in the future. If Yao can have the game against Duncan and Robinson that he had last week and if the flu is not much of an issue, then he should have great game against the Grizz.

    My prediction:

    Rockets by 12

    Yao 20-15 w 3 blocks - YAO-za!

If Yao performs badly, we should trade him for Travis Knight.

Francis usually torches the Grizzlies and still has a vendetta against whether they're in Vancouver or not. Dumping the ball into a Ming would be very smart to. I think the Rockets will be ready to play, they know every win is a step closer to the playoffs

    Rockets 91
    Grizzlies 78

Like I said before the Rockets may not have won 3 games in a row yet, but they hadn't beaten a winning team until a few weeks ago, now they're beating them regularly. Tonight is the night that the Rockets win their 3rd straight.

One thing that WON'T happen is Francis getting pelted with tomatoes during the game...

I think it is cute the way Chinese fans want to relieve some of Yao's pressure to perform at a top level in all games.

    prettyben,

Don't worry. The pressure on Mobley to never make one single boneheaded mistake is much greater. He could have a good all-around, team-oriented game, but if he makes one turnaround jumper in the final 5 minutes of a tight game....off with his head.

And if Steve fails to pass to a wide open Yao once, he must be jealous again....off with his head!

poor poor Cat and Steve. There is so much pressue that presence of Yao puts on them. I hope Yao and his Chinese fans can forgive Cat and Steve if they make mistakes and pat them on their heads like Yao did to his teammates in China. I hope Yao and his fans can embrace Cat and Steve and understand that mistakes happen and will again. I hope Yao doesn't put too much pressure on Francis to be the best PG in the NBA like he said.

According to Chronicle, Grizzlies are offering free tickets
to this game, but only to the folks 7 foot tall or taller.
    What a tricky scheme!

I don't know that Steve Francis will necessarily have a great game. He seemed to get fired up playing the Grizz in the past, but I think that was because he had to deal with the booing Vancouver crowd. This will be different. Also, Jason Williams, despite his shortcomings, seems to KILL the Rockets whenever we play them. Every once in a while, the guy will get hot from outside and start hitting everything. For whatever reason, that always happens to us. I am seriously worried about a letdown from the Rockets tonight.

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies try for the first four-game winning streak in franchise history on Friday when they host the red-hot Houston Rockets at The Pyramid.

The Grizzlies have won three straight games following a five-game losing streak. They have never won four straight since joining the NBA prior to the 1995-1996 season.

Memphis sealed the fourth three-game winning streak in team history with a 96-93 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday.

Pau Gasol scored 18 points and Jason Williams scored five of his 16 in the final 36 seconds for the Grizzlies, who nearly squandered a 16-point lead. Memphis improved to 5-10 under Hubie Brown, who replaced Sidney Lowe on November 13.

The Grizzlies played without guard Brevin Knight, who sat out with an injured foot, and Shane Battier missed his fourth straight game with a leg infection.

Houston has won five of its last seven games and posted a 103-96 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.

Steve Francis scored 32 points and Yao Ming had 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Rockets, who led by as many as 19.

Houston has lost five of its last seven games on the road, where it is 4-7 this season.

The Rockets have won 21 of 28 all-time meetings against the Grizzlies, including nine of 14 games on the road. The teams split four games during the 2001-02 season

I think Ming will have a big game tonight..They might try to throw Lorenzen Wright at him.. but other than that they have no size to try to push Ming around.. Ming has proven that if he gets the ball where he wants it around the basket, it's over!

They try to make the comparisons for the run a parrallel which is crap. The Grizzlies have beat the Denver Nuggets by 3 points, the Miami Heat and Phoenix which is decent.

The Rockets have won three of their last four against Sacramento, Philly and San Antonio. 3 Teams that could reach the finals.

The game plan is take advantage of Yao and Francis significantly.
Pau is as skinny as Yao and 6 inches shorter. No one on that team should keep him from getting position.

Griffin should play more because he does a formidable job on Pau and Gooden. Franchise should light up JWilliams as he always does against his no-defense.

I think Hubie will double on Yao. so guys ESPECIALLY MOOCH!! Watch for the damn passes under the basket!!

Fans on Memphis broard keep saying their frontcourt will dominate ours. I didn't watch much Memphis game, so anyone can tell me just how good is their frontline?
