Whenever it's clutch time Francis and Mobley feel that they are the only guys that can win the game.Sometimes it works out but it's easier for the opposing teams to defend them because they know what the duo is going to do. Having Posey is making a difference,he won the game against the Nuggets and tonight he really stepped up big.

And Amazingly during that ball beautiful movement stretch it was the bench players who did it.

NBA2Night on Espn2 just showed at least two instances in the Memphis game where the Rockets failed to pass to Yao when Yao was open down low. It's really a shame when the national media brings up the fact that the Rockets still don't properly pass to you when he is in good position. Nonetheless, Steve had a great game distributing the ball and Espn2 never mentioned this part.

Yao need to get more physical and aggressive so that he won't get his shot block. The Rockets need to hire a coach that know how to teach Yao how to play big. There is no reason that all these guys who are 6-8 inches shorter than him blocking his shots. We need to bring Ralph Sampson or some other big man in to tutor Yao how to play big. With his size and skill, there is no reason why he couldn't score everytime he is a few feet away from the basket. Overall, I'm glad that we got the win. The guards play somewhat better today but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully it will come soon as they are playing some of the tough teams in the next 4 games. The key to beating these teams again is ball movement and utilize the big man.

Did they comment on this? Were they defending Yao in any way, or criticizing the ROX? I wish I could have seen it.

FINALLY! The starters all took fairly even amounts of shots!!!

... Except Griff, who hadd some nice production in the time he played. Why did he play so little? Not another injury... please???

EG had early foul trouble while trying to block some shots.

Taylor really needs to get better position before he starts calling for the ball. If you are shooting 37% from the field, you have lost your calling for the ball privledges 20+ feet from the basket.

We have the worst defensive point guard rotation in the league. Moochie cannot stop penetration, and Steve is even worse. Steve did have a NICE strip of Jason (University Blue is all over my jock) Williams though. :D

Sometimes Yao needs to slow down. He has the ball in great position down low, but rushes and takes an awkward reverse flip shot. He should collect himself and dunk the ball.

Mobes missed Eddie Griffin WIDE OPEN under the basket. It wouldn't have been an easy pass, but it was definitely makeable. Instead he passed it around to Francis who dribbled up to somebody so he could shoot with a hand in his face.

Are we ever going to run a 3-on-1 fastbreak where the ball goes down the middle and we hit the open man on one of the wings for a slam. How come every other team can execute this, but Steve tries to just keep the ball and pull some double clutch layup and pray for the ref to bail him out?

When Steve or Cat gets an open look at a three, they just look automatic. Even the Hawk was hitting his open looks.

Please Rudy, never play Terence Morris again. Dude is like Shandon Anderson +4 inches. Boki could not be a downgrade from Morris, Cato certainly isn't.

I saw that when Mobley didn't pass to Eddie. Eddie looked like he was having a seizure trying to get Mobley's attention. Also, Steve not giving it up on the 3 on 1 was inexcusable.

I don't know why people are still down on Terrance. I think he deserves more playing time than MoT, he may not have better offense, but at least he rebounds.

Because he stinks. Also, because we wasted a first round pick to get him. He is shooting 17% from beyond the arc. He also averages less rebounds per game than MoT, although he does play a couple less minutes. I would say that neither one of them deserves much time, save when MoT is hot. Just let Cato backup the 4 and 5. Nachbar and Hawkins can backup the 3. The Guard rotation is fine as is.

How about the play when J-Will inbounded the ball to Stevie's butt? How long before we see Stevie try to do that?

That was just immature and selfish. I almost couldn't believe my eyes...that a point guard would ignore two of his teammates who were wide open and instead challenge a strong defender standing right in front of the basket... then I realized it was Francis. Wow, he had two guys wide open under the basket (Posey and Yao) and he decided to go for a fancy up and under. Frankly, he deserved to be laid out as a reminder that you should always make the easy pass, not just look for the highlights.

That play flipped me out. I was screaming at the TV.

At least J-Will showed everyone where Steve keeps his brains.
I'm surprised Rudy doesn't just have a seizure on the bench. I wish he would just ONCE call a time-out when Francis does something amazingly stupid and sits his a$$ on the bench. Don't wait for him to pass go and collect 200 bucks, RT.

I know what he was thinking. He was trying to get a 3pt play. Respect to his heart, but disrespect to his bball IQ, or any IQ.
