some observations of the 1st qtr...
francis and mobley are playing like chickens with their heads cut off, jacking up wild shots and making just enough so that they'll keep at it. i'm beginning to think posey is not such a great fit for this team. we need some more heady players, and posey strikes me as another good athlete who doesn't properly think the game. why doesn't rudy counter the fronting on yao? there must be a way to make them pay for doubling him instead of having rox jack up outside wild shots.

yeah, I love all that dribbling way above the top of the key.

Francis is such a spazz out there, its like he thinks he going up against a top defensive team. He makes things look so difficult and disorganized out there when he has the ball.

How did Ming do? Why he didnt have even one shot attempt? Was he double trippled teamed?

The other thing to point out with the second unit is the insistence on going to Taylor over and over and over again. This guy was NOT as selfish a player his first year in Houston.

The only reason letting Hakeem go was a mistake was because, you know, maybe he was right. The "kids" just don't know how to play, and without Hakeem there, they have no one to show them. At that price, though, he was impossible to keep. The Rockets are in desperate need of a veteran leader who everyone else on the team respects. Glen Rice is a start, but he isn't it.

He basically ran between two ends of the court and did
nothing. It is better for him to sit and rest.

Oh and don't forget about the high steps and skipping ball slapping whatever you call it when his team is down by 9pts. it's annoying and embrassing.

Poll: Why Yao Ming will get Zero shots in this game (Favorite Rocket excuse)

    "They completely committed to him"

"He had a hard time getting position"

"Shaq wouldn't have gotten any shots in this game"

"We have learned absolutely NOTHING since the last Boston game"

"We enjoy contrasting the smart, gritty play of the Celtics dynasties with our 'New Era' guard play"

oh man you know i did not notice that crap.

heres an interesting thing to watch: notice when Francis brings the ball up half court and how he intiates the offense alot of times
way out near the half court line. and then notice the diffrence when Moochie brings the ball up, the offense is initiated much closeer, right at or near the three point line.

one more thing, it'd be nice to see a one of Yao's teamates set a pick down low for him, or even better yet, to see him get a pass where he can take a face-up jumper. they just got to get the guy invloved.

15 points and 5 assists for Francis at the half. Why is everyone complaining again?
