We do not deserve to be in the play-offs to make fools out of the dumb fans that continue to believe in this team.

If this team wants to play one way at home and one way on the road then they will continue to be beat by the worse teams and never make the play-offs. Maybe it is they do not want to be Boo'ed at home for the way they play the one on one so they save it for the road.

If this is going to continue, since they have proved at Home they know how to play togather, then something has to be changed. I would think it has to be the Coach takes a stand [or is changed], the players decide it is time[or some are gone] or we continue for years with as much talent as any team in the NBA and can not make the play-offs.

Well here is yet again glaring evidence that Steve is NOT a PG. The Rockets must fix this problem to become a contender!

the wins against the kings and the wolves are plukes. webber did not play and the wolves were in the second game of a back-to-back. they were tired. see what happened last night.

someone's head needs to roll. some players need to be traded.

Rudy's motion offense = Francis getting into the lane +
Cat running one on one + Mooch dribbling the ball around
    + alley oops.

Rudy didn't some how hit Francis' arm and cause him to make that piss poor pass...

Rudy didn't cause James Poser to miss that free throw

    bottom line...we made mistakes.

I actually agree. Yao was outhustled and outplayed by Z the first three quarters. Yao had 2 rebounds until the final minute (when he had 2 clutch rebounds). 2 rebounds most of the game is inexusable.

Yao may have played well in the last few minutes but he sure didn't for the rest of the time he was on. He hardly got any rebounds in the first three quarters. As skilled as he is with his passing they need to use his size more and play him like Shaq and have him attack the basket while making the oppostion commit a foul! The fundamentals of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid).

Wow the IQ level of these type of people must be as high as the guards IQ. :p

I think I've come to the conclusion that Mo Taylor should be starting at power forward the rest of the season. Not just because of his big game tonight, but because of his NBA experience. Brand is probably a pipe-dream, so we need to just work with what we've got. Mo Taylor has skills and I think if we could just work this line-up of Francis, Mobley, Posey, Taylor, Ming for awhile that they could finally develop some chemistry. I like Eddie, but if you look at most of his games, he does 90% of his scoring in the first quarter. No consistancy. Let Eddie come in to lead the first burst by our second string.

Ming must have more than eight shots a game...more like 15, which means he touches the ball at least 30-40 times a game. No more to say.

The seven assist benchmark still holds true for Steve. Not as much dribbling tonight, but a costly error down the stretch.
Ball movement is key. I know alot of people around here feel that if you "just outscore your opponent we win" type attitude, but assists mean much more than you think. Tonight Clevland 24 assist vs. Rockets 17. It's not just a historical fact, but it is truely how the game works.

Another tough loss, but we can come out the second half of the season and start over. We could learn from our mistakes the first half of the season. Francis could average 8 assists a game. We could have a winning record on the road. We could beat teams with below .500 records...while still competing against the best of the league. Most importantly, we could be in the playoffs. I don't think that is too much for Rocket fans to expect? Prove that this team is worthy of having two all-star starters!

rudy might not have caused the mistakes of the players. but he could have made the plays easier for them by designing plays.

did you see how they started posting up yao? yes, they gave him the ball several times but it does not mean that the rest of the players will just stand around! this is an example of why rudy t. should be fired. he does not understand how to properly utilize his players. all he knows is one-on-one plays. if yao is in utah, thay will finally get the ring. they run the most efficient and most effective plays in the league.

This loss was unacceptable. The guards do not know how to win ballgames. People say trading cat means trading francis also, well so what.

The Rockets are not going to trade Steve, but Mobley, in his 5th year, still has no clue on the court and a trade needs to be explored. If it pisses off Francis, so what, how much success has he brought the Rockets since he has been here, none!!! Three freaking lottery seasons!! and most likley a fourth.

Francis is a good player, not great, but he doesn't help his team win as often as he should. His production doesn't even matter because it cancels out with his horrible passing skills, his questionable dribbling, and his lack of defense at times

If Francis had any say-so in Rocket-decision making involving moving players, it just ended with tonights loss to the worst team in the damn NBA.

If Francis wants out if Mobley is traded, then SHIP HIS ASS OUT OF TOWN THEN!

I have no need for selfish basketball players on my favorite team. Especially ones that can't even get the team to the playoffs.

It's the Cavs--the Rockets should have never been in the position where a free throw or a pass determined the outcome.

A team this talented should have wrapped up the game halfway through the third.

I don't know Z's stat for the season, but he is hard to cover one-on-one in this league by any center even Shaq included; He has the mobility to got ot the basket, and turn around jumper, he can also pull out to hit 18 foot shots. That is the reason he is an all star.

    Very TRUE!!!

This all had to do with taking games seriously and preparation. Just because the Cavs are one of the worse teams, doesn't mean you should not bring your A-Game.

But I guess the Rox have the All-Star game on their mind...sigh...lights and cameras.

Honestly firing the coach won't achieve much. A coach will only go if the players have a fallout with him or they aren't doing very well. The Rockets are still in early stages of rebuilding and Rudy's record as a coach speaks for itself. The lack of creativity on court isn't initiated by the coach but the player. A coach can't think for the player only advise him.
