Seems Rudy will live or die with Francies, so will Rockets. Rudy absolutely has no control of the team.

What's changed is that the Rockets were destroyed at home by an average team, and then gave a half-effort against yet another horrific team, and lost their fourth straight.

I didn't mind the Rockets losing to the Spurs and Mavs. Those were to be expected. But these last two losses have pushed me over the edge. I can't stand it anymore.

I tried to stay positive. I really did. But there is NOTHING positive about the Rockets right now.

This is the same horrible team that lost 91-82 to open the season against Indiana. They haven't improved a bit.

Well, actually, they did. But since the Laker win, the Rockets have regressed with unbelievable speed.

I am sick of watching a super-talented team lose game after game by playing without effort, hustle, or desire. It's like this team just expects to be in the playoffs.

Well they don't deserve it. They have to EARN it, and they aren't doing that.

When the season is over, the Rockets will be considered one of the biggest wastes of talent in NBA history.

And even if the Rockets scrap their way to an eighth seed, it will just result in a three-game drubbing.

The Rockets had, not only a chance for the playoffs, but a chance to finish in the top three.

30-12 would have the Rockets tied with the Kings, and that is the record they should have. But no, the Rockets gave no effort at all in games against Golden State, Atlanta, Memphis, the Clippers(twice), Detroit, and now Chicago. That is a total waste of a season.

Didn't other opposing team announcers make similar comments about our guard's ballhogging? I don't mind losing if we put up a good fight, but the way we lost the last few games was just frustrating.

We need to make some changes NOW.

The same thing I keep hearing over and over from the opposite team announcers. They basically beat their brains out trying to understand why the Rockets don't involve the big fella more.

    Fortunately, I missed this game.

But, how did TMo and Posey play?

well, my superbowl sunday is officially ruined. that crap really put me in a bad mood.

i'm too disgusted to even bash rudy t after this one.

posey played well. him and ming are the only 2 unselfish players on the team who play smart basketball within the context of how the "offense" should be run.

Good point. But who was "guarding" Jalen? We made another shooting guard look like a hall-of-famer.

Francis put it up like Iverson today.... he shot 9-26. 26 shots... good God. 26 shots to get 26 points. Along with 5 assists, 8 rebounds, 7 turnovers. 26-8-7, almost another triple double!!!

Posey was a demon in the first half and got frozen out by our guards just like Yao. TMo didn't see much time.

The DUMBNESS of this team, and the ineptitude of our coach, is agonizing...what a waste of talent:mad:

If a player like Posey or Yao get hot, Francis and Mobley get jealous.

"No ball for you, Yao and Posey!"

Who else do you want? I'm beginning to think it doesn't matter who Rudy has in his lineup! THE GAME HAS PASSED HIM BY!!!

Why did Rox miss FT so much? It happened in every close game we lost!!! Is it too difficult to fix?

It is already obvious to me that this Rockets team is not going to be winning a lot of games with this type of coaching. The coach does not have any coaching strategy. Rudy appears to have little say when it comes to strategy on this team. The team seem do whatever it wants on the court and the coach can't do a thing about it. It's time to get a new coach if he can't get the team to listen. Either that or the coach have no real strategy. Fire Rudy and get Larry Bird or Donnie Nelson so that this team will play smart basketball to win games.

The box score stats only indicate Francis and MoT with a poor game. I guess the box score doesn't tell much of the story.

I was wondering about that too. Posey was 4-4 very early in the game and than the guards just totally stopped passing the ball to him for the rest of the quarter. Same goes to Yao after he went 3-3 near the and of the game and than the guards decided that its their time to take over the game again.

    -G'day-

They usually go on a run at the end of the season.

It might be too late for the playoffs, though.

But, consistency is lacking. And we don't want to get into that old habit of "waiting for the playoffs to turn it on."

That's an excuse for a bad team, that can't hack it in the regular season.

I'm right there with you ZRB. I preach patience b/c I beleive these growings pain accompany every rise to greatness. But I really question the necessity of both Steve and Mobes, especially now with Yao here. With every game it becomes increasingly obvious that Cats/Steve's bball mentality clashes directly with the rest of our team. Its like them and us.

The Cat actually has grown on me. I don't mind his scorer's mentality because he's our shooting guard and shooting guards shoot the ball. But we only need one. Yao needs involvement to be effective. The ball should be moving through his hands consistently and as long as we have two scorers in our backcourt, that won't happen.

When we had no center, it was cool for Francis to come down and look to shoot our way back into games. We don't need that anymore. We don't need Francis.
