i think rudy should put Yao to bench for his stamina is a big problem. In china,he play game twice one week.and 28-35 matchs one year.so he need time to bulid his stamina to adapt it.

a fan of rockets and yao from china.

If we play like we did on Sun... we lose big. If we play like we can... we win... barely.

Well, Rasheed Wallace and Stoudamire are in court trouble, and now Patterson has assaulted his wife, so he's in trouble too.

A lot of turbulence in the Portland team, no chemistry.

Stoudamire doesn't get minutes ANYWAY, and if Griffin can do a half-decent job on the slumping Rasheed Wallace, then they have no one to carry them.

Don't look for much from Ming. Hopefully Cato gets a lot of minutes. Big games from Francis, Rice, and Griffin.

We'll see great defense from both teams this time.

    Rockets 74
    Blazers 72

Bad Boys! Bad Boys! Which Blazers are out tonight?

Wallace and Stoudamire are out due to drug possesion.
Is anyone else out of their line up tonight?

This five game road trip scares me. The only non-playoff (at least hopping) caliber team, Golden State, is still difficult due to it being the second half of a back to back. 0-5 is not impossible. 2-3 seemed fairly optimistic.

After choking away LA I fear the worst tonight.

This is a big game because they need to bounce back. If they were to lose another close one at the end it would definately set a bad tone and could result in a disaster of a road trip.

Let's hope the shots are falling, because without good shooting this is going to go down to the wire.

If the Blazers are hot on their shooting percentage they could demoralize the Rockets and it might be a blow out.

I think this is a huge game for the morale of this team.

Especially if MoT and KT do not start. IMHO Rudy has some fragile chemistry going.

Griffin turnaround game...if he receives more than 9 minutes PT.

He's one of the best players (style, quickness and skills) to defend Wallace and he'll prove it again. I'm looking forward to seeing EG post him up ALOT!

Rice will go for 15 and Pippin might cry.

I think the key to this one though will also be bench scoring. I'd like to see Mo Taylor in double digits with some dirty work stats (boards, a steal and a block).

    Go Rockets!!!

And and lest I forget...Francis is the best Rocket, he brings it every night and this night will be no different. Can I get some love for a triple-double from Franchise?

I hope to see more offensive attacks from MoT and Rice. Hawkins is doing just fine. Will they ever play Boki???

Please note that my hatred for Pippen is eclipsed only by my hatred of misspellings. In my previous post, my intended "crying small forward" would be that of Scottie Pippen... and not "Pippin" (although I could make a case that he is much like Pippi Longstocking...) the woman.

I don’t want to sound pessimistic, but the chances of winning this game are the same as our Rockets winning every game. 50/50.

Until a change is made concerning Rudy and his “coaching,” this will be the case. Either Rudy has to make a change, or the front office has to change Rudy. It’s become apparent to me over the years, that we beat the teams we’re not suppose to, and loose against the teams we’re suppose to beat. Therefore all the predictions that everyone makes every game are pointless. We should redirect these pre-game threads to an online coin toss that will be 1. More accurate. 2. Stop wasting valuable brain waves. 3. Will disappoint only ½ of us on a weekly basis. And 4. Will end up around .500 for the year, which will be the case anyway. The problem is not Moochie, it’s not Steve, it’s not Eddie, it’s not Rice’s old tush, IT’S RUDY PEOPLE!!! RUDY!!!

Hate the Rudy haters if you want, but as the season goes on, most of you will come to see what many of us already see.

I just flipped a coin, and it looks like we win this one. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope the rockets get out there and really kick some @$$..I want pippen to sitand watch as we beat them again and make him wish he was back on our team but to only be denied by the Rockets calling him a Jack@$$ for whining the entire time.

If Rox can stay below 2 digits turnovers, they'll win the game.

Hopefully EG and Cato will do a good defensive job on Wallace. This game will be tough, I hope the Rox aren't expecting the same team we played Nov. 12th, they are well rested(not playing back to back like last time), have DA back(and we're missing Cat), and their loss to us is probably still fresh in their head(we're the last team they lost to besides the kings). I do not feel good about this game. We need to watch Anderson, when he does well, they win. Hopefully Yao can come in and do well, he seems to dominate when he gets the ball within 10 feet of the basket. When he gets pushed out he has a game like he did against the clips. BE STRONG YAO!
    GO ROX!

You know what I really miss from old Rockets teams?

    Winning streaks...

Man, teh past few years....It seems like, for every win, my hopes of winning the next one drop drastically...Like they can't put anything together....

It would be nice to, sometime soon, get a 6 or 7 game winning streak....

Exactly. Zone should have been played the entire game, and should be played every game by this team. They can't play man-to-man. The Clipper game could have been a cakewalk had a zone been used.

Yeah, the Rockets haven't won more than four games in a row since the 99-00 season, when they went 34-48.

They haven't won more than six and a row since the lockout season.

Last year, they never won more than 3 in a row.

    This has to change.
