Scales seemed to level off after a hot start. He started to force things a little. He's trying to make the team but I would have liked to have seen a little better shot selection late in the game. He did have one sweet dish that someone fumbled. I'd like to see if the guy could play the point some. He's really quick and plays decent D. We've got enough people capable of playing at the 2.

Moochie, grow the monster fro back. Unlike your game, the fro was at least a conversation piece. I hadn't seen that many turnovers since the time I saw Rosanne Barrs breakfast plate after she had spent the previous night smoking a pound of herb. You know she indulges too because she had to get Tom Arnold pretty damn high to marry her.

Cornell is a hell of a pick setter and overall hustler. He'd be a good guy to carry on the inactive list. Reminds me of a Dave Corzine type.

Amaechi needs to go get a spot of tea and some crumpets somewhere else. Loved the accent, hated his game.

Cynthia Cooper actually did a good job with the half time show other than including Ewing's ugly mug in it. I kept waiting for Ewing to pull out a wad of ones and ask Cooper to "Shake that thing, show me what ya working wit."

Muonecke ain't gonna make it in the league, if his fuse is that friggin short. He caught himself but he over reacted to an ordinary NBA foul.

Eddie G looked better. He was actually going after rebounds. Imagine that, a near 7 footer grabbing rebounds.

Cat and Steve had it on cruise control. I think I saw Jimmy Jackson giving Cat tips on picking up women during a chat they had on the bench.

Boki plays like "Balki" that friggin sissy guy from the TV show. Nachbar, damn man, you got me trying to wish in shots for you from my living room. And if you want to finish some of those drives, you gotta quit leaving the ball behind too. I tape recorded the game and put one of your plays on fast forward and you still looked slow.

Cato looked good, hopefully his offensive arsenal this year will include more than the alley oop and put backs.

I am disappointed, but first of all its only their first preseason game...

Do I hope they get better, of course, but its too early and they didn't have Yao...

    Those uniforms Rocked...

Rockets committed 18 turnovers and finished with 31!!!

Same ol Rocketz as far as ballhandling.

I did like Gabe's performance game high i hope he makes the team, scales was impressive too, they were both ballsy on plays.
Cornell is a great garbage guy, now I see how MoT got injured. The unis rocked, but they are way too revealing, what's up with seeing their ribcage? It will b interesting to see how tonites game will be so different since the BIG man will play. as for cat and steve, they are both not playin at their level, maybe its preseason, but if not we're in trouble. did pike play? boki man he needs help quick. it'll take some time b4 this team adjusts to the JVG system, hopefully francis, cat, and yao can lead

    Ill-Skillz,

great recap. I'm still laughing at the Cooper/Ewing part. You need to keep posting recaps if they are always that fun to read. ;)

    From yaoming.net:

Hello Friends, I'm back in America! I got back last Sunday, and it feels great. I flew with my mother from China and stopped over in Japan and then Los Angeles. When I got back, a bunch of fans were waiting for me, along with Colin Pine. Even though, I had a fun summer, it was great to get back with the team. I had practice early Monday morning, and I'm happy to be back with the Rockets. I see a lot of new faces and a new coach that I'm excited to get to know.
