ClutchCity.net Game Thread: Raptors @ Rockets 11/2/2002

The Rockets better win this one. The only trouble Toronto can cause for us is through Vince Carter. If Cat can play decent D, and Griff, Cato, and Ming can clog up the middle, we've got it in the bag.

Their inside game is very weak, so I'm looking forward to Cato and Ming both having big nights. Combined 22 points, 16 boards, and 4 blocks.

 

Did anyone watch last nights game. We barely beat a team with the most horrific starting five I have ever seen. A team with that starting five would be lucky to win 15 games this year. We've got a really long way to go to get this talent to gell. The crowd will make this game somewhat close though.

Denver also hung with Minnesota on their opening night. Denver is a scrappy group. Imagine them next year with another top draft pick and 2 max contract free agents.

 

Who else is scared to see this tonight?

I really do not want to see this type of play over Ming tonight. If so expect to see it so much it will make you vomit.

I think we are going to see the best crowd tonight that we have seen in the past several years at this game tonight. I tried buying tickets but unfortunetly there were only $84 and up tickets availible. The crowd should be rocking.

The Rockets need some home court advantage!

The crowd is gonna be electric tonight. I cant wait for dis game to start! I know one thing, to hang w/ vince and the raptors we NEED to shoot better then we have been. Cuz Vince is gonna go crazy tonite. write it down.

 

VINCE CArter SLAMED it on DUNCAN yesterday......he was lucky to move out of the way by crouching under the Monster!!!

Anyway..... Ming better be careful cause i think Vince is trying to make a Impression on people that he can still SLAM IT DOWN.

My prediction is TORONTO WINS!!!

With Rice-K.Thomas-MoTaylor- OUT the rockets are too inexperienced down low......untill these big boyz don't get healthy don't expect much from the rockets.......it's gonna be all on STEVE & CUTTINO show......jusy shoot-shoot-shoot-shooot....and pray it goes in. For GRIFFIn it's all BRICK-BriCK-BRICk.....Yao it's ROOKIE........Cato it's WOW-the only guy who's showed some major upgrade in the summer.....People are not giving the big man any credit. ........

CUTTINO should get traded just on his stupid shot selection. Sorry but that's just my opinion & and don't forget the endless dribbling by both STEVE and CUTTINO.....those two better pass the ball once K.Thomas-Rice-MoTaylor come back.

ONCE everyone is healthy! - which never seems to happen watch out for these ROCKETS!

 

KT is back, and possibly Rice too. Getting these two back would make the Rockets look like a brand new team. Ball Movement!!!!!!!!!

It would seem that Carter has been practicing his "jumping over players" routine as he did it last night over Duncan. It wasn't quite the same as the one over Freddy Weiss in the Olympics but there has been a very clear change in Carter. He hasn't broken out with a deent scoring night, but he's coming out serious with an eye on driving inside.

Both teams would appear to be in the "middle" ranges of the NBA right now... each ranked somewhere between 14 and 18 in the league (IMO). Both teams have studs on the perimeter and both teams are working new players into steady minutes. It should be a pretty close game if you ask me.

 

Damn....I was hoping to go up and get tickets, but sounds like you guys are saying that's a no.

ming gets 10 rebounds and six points. francis gets 21 points, carter gets 30. griffin gets back on the right track with twelve points on much better shooting tonight.

 

I called ticketmaster & it seems like they still have some good seats available for 2 people.

 

The thing that sucks is, I have season tickets in section 111 and I cant go tonight! No Yao Ming poster for me.
