    :D
    from Nuggets fan bbs
"yao kicked our butts. no other rocket really had a great game. something to think about for that early regular season matchup with the rockets.

at least elson and camby each got us 10 rebs.

did anyone watch the game? id like to know how yao killed us and what happened to our offense? "

"dear god, i cannot stand the rockets new home unis. who designed those? and why the ugly circles and font? fortunately we only have to see them twice all year! (they should have hired the same people kiki hired... ?"

"Wow, tonight, we are playing our worst preseason game...

Andre Miller had decided he's the new shooting guard. Why that's a good thing, I don't know.

Nene is a goon. His numbers are disgusting for a guy with his size and athleticism.

Are nuggets fans really talking smack about OUR uniforms? Earl Boykins looks like a radioactive smurf in those Nuggets road uniforms...

Check this quote out from Camby:

    MARCUS CAMBY

On the ease with which Yao Ming scored tonight:
"It’s preseason and we come back and play these dudes next week. We don’t want to show them too much out there. You know he played a lot of minutes; I started, didn’t play that many minutes, so we’ll see him again next week."

Sounds like he thinks he's going to be able to challenge Yao next week in the opener. I hope Yao sees this quote.

No kidding! I personally think the new UCLA Bruins uniforms errrrr Denver Nuggets uniforms look lame. That powder blue and gold just does not look very flattering or very strong. The Rockets uniforms might not be the best in the NBA but they are solid. The only thing that could be better would be the lettering and numbering on the front of the jersey, but overall they are solid.

Yao played 28 minutes, I wouldn't call that a lot of minutes compared to Camby's 23 minutes. Plus the reason Camby only played 23 minutes was because he was in constant foul trouble defending Yao... he had 5 fouls mid way through the 3rd quarter.

    -G'day-

What a load of BS. Here are the important stats for both.

    Yao:
    min. 28, points 29, rebs 9, assists 2, to's 3

    Cam:
    min. 23, points 5, rebs 10, assists 0, to's 4

So lets see yao play a whole 5 more min and was able to obliterate cam's numbers, well besides the 10 to 9 rebounding edge. On a side not on the rebounding edge if you guys check our stats, every single rockets had at least one rebound while denver has to rely on certain players to get the boards for them to be able to move the ball.

    Camby for President.
    j/k

Hopefully we will get to see more of the new style of rockets play, I loved the game last night. Nobody played selfishly.

CAMBY has NO chance... Yao will own the lane, at the Toyota Center or in Denver.

Yao 11-of-14 from field in exhibition

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    RECAP | BOX SCORE

HOUSTON (AP) -- Yao Ming scored 29 points and had nine rebounds to lead the Houston Rockets to a 102-79 victory over the Denver Nuggets in a preseason game Wednesday night.

Playing just 28 minutes, Yao shot 11-of-14 from the field and 7-of-9 from the free throw line as the Rockets won their third straight. Steve Francis added 15 points and Cuttino Mobley, back after missing a game with a left hip strain, added 14.

Anthony Miller led the Nuggets with 17 points.

Yao missed the first two preseason games playing for the Chinese national team. In the five games since, he has averaged 20.2 points and 9.1 rebounds, both team highs.

Midway through the third quarter, Yao scored six points on a 12-0 run that gave the Rockets a 62-46 lead, their biggest of the night. He had 12 in the quarter as Houston ended with a 76-59 lead.

    that traitor, cut him!

Yao was 11 of 14. His 3 missed shots were all layups blocked by Boykins. Just kidding.

Delighted with the win and in particular the Rockets fighting spirit.

    1. Inside out, Yao had lots touches.
    2. Not yet.
    3. He passed the ball more.
    4. Not yet.
    5. No much doubling.
    6. Because he passed the ball to Yao, Yao made shots, and you got assists.

I think Camby's inferiority complex is leading to sour grapes.
