Com'on, I think everybody was complaining Rudy won't let Yao play the entire 4th quarter. :)

    D Fence is back!

Could not ask for a more perfect game from the defense. The boys are taking care of home court. This is a top 5 game of the year. Yao got three blocks - we are 17-4 when he does (counting tonight).

Now we HAVE to beat LAC and CHI to setup the showdown with Phoenix.

The East is really WEAK this year, again....

    That Francis dunk was sick!

Yao's FG was 4/13. How sick was it?

Both Mobley and Francis shoot well. Griffin's FG% was almost over 50%, wow!

Yeah! Yao did not shoot well tonight.
We need his better shooting percentage for the next game!

The whole 2nd half was a blowout. Why did we not give the bench players some time? These are great games to give the bench players some minutes and find out if they can play or not. If Nachbar can't get any minutes in this game, when will he get some? I would have liked to see Maddox and Nachbar get a good 5 or 6 minutes in this game. But, overall, great game Rockets! Let's hope they can get the offense going now. Great job getting the defense going tonight.

Yao had an off night offensively, but he did other things and we still won by a good margin.

Why not rest SF and allow others to play?

Yao's shooting sucks today. But defense was very good. Nets had a lousy game.

I'm really happy to see that we picked up our defense tonight which was the key to winning. The Nets are only effective when they get to play at a fast pace.
Props to Steve for playing tonight even though he had the flu.
We do need better execution in the next game but a win should improve their morale.

I wouldn't necessarily take this game as great Rockets defense. We were lucky that we caught a team in a bad shooting slump. The Nets missed several open jumpers early in the game (remind you of any team we know?) and then they started to drive the ball inside but Yao was there to swat the ball away. There's still so much to improve on. But hey, a win is a win and I'll take them any way they come at this point.

I think Nachbar is on the injured list.

The reason why Yao has a poor shooting game; it is because he hit all his 16-footer and 19-footer early in the game when he was double-teamed low post. Then he started to practise more mid-range shots with our big lead, but he missed them all since then. He ended up taking only one low-post shot out 13 attempts. That was he got such a poor shooting percentage.

Well, it appears the strategy work for the team anyway because the NJ defence was pulled out by Yao and that resulted in a lot of space for Yao's teammates.

    :D :D :D
