Are you sure it wasn't maybe 75 times or 100?

What game did you watch tonite? I am not tryign to praise the Mavs but I am a realist. Rockets have alot to learn. We have a problem at the 4 spot. We need a real pg in here. I love Franchise but he is reminding me of AI when he use to run point. We would benefit from him playing the 2 guard rather than the point. I'm not sure how much Gilbert ARenas is worth but both him and Miller are in the pool next season. These 2 guys are real point guards and are the future.

If that were the case, why not bench Ming once we were down by 15 with only 4 minutes left. There was no way we can catch up from that deficit.

I agree that Yao should only play 30-35 min but the timing should be balanced better.

It's not surprising that the Rocks lost. What IS surprising is that they couldn't buy a call from the refs on their home court... ****in' idiotic dip****'s!  Yao was getting hammered left, right and center by Bradley and anyone else within range and no calls. Francis too. (gutsy effort by Steve, btw)

    Unbelievable.

That was the first dunk I've seen straight up on Yao, he jumped over him when Yao was in position to block it. That was one hell of a dunk.

I think you meant diametrically opposed. Solid points, though.

Well no wonder why we lost. When you play OK against the Mavs that isn't enough. The first quarter was great. But no team plays great the whole game so I knew that. But I think there were opprotunitys for us to keep this game close and we didn't. I am well aware Mavs a better team than us. But they were on a back to back. Rockets have got to take advantage of that. I don't mind losing a back to back by 1-6 points but tonight was a ass whooping.

enfuegas:- You need to watch , as I did, then you would have known what I am refering. The under the basket defence the Mavericks were putting on Yao Ming was disgusting, slapping him all over the Handsd, Arms and Torso. I have the tape and can show you what you missed, if you like! Or you could watch the replay at Midnight, on Ch 51.

Mark Cuban's first day as the Mavs Owner:

(Cuban, talking to his team)..."Listen up! Don Nelson is in charge! Period! If any of you are spoiled and start complaining that you are not getting enough minutes or shots, I'll ship your butt off this team faster than you can can say, 'Problem child!' What Don says, goes! Any questions?"

Now, all you have to do is look at the demeanor of Nash, Nowitzki, and Finley. They all answer to one person. The coach. And all the other players answer to one player, Nowitzki.

It's a pecking order. No primadonnas allowed!

Nash, Nowizski and Finley are students of the game. Not "stars." And it shows.

Rockets only played 5 mins good game tonight, which was in the opening of the first quarter. Then they began to tell the old not passing the ball story again. At that point I was pretty sure they would lose the game. Francis wasted a lot of time by dribbling the ball and make bad shoot or pass when there were only 3-4 seconds left. Yao was outplayed by Bradley today. He was not very aggressive until later in the second half. He didn't get too much chance to touch the ball in the first half either. A couple a times I saw him waving his hands to the rockets ball holder, they just kept igoring him. The dinner at Mobley's home didn't help to bring them together, although Mobely himself had a decent game. I'm convinced that Francis is not a good point guard by watching him wasting time dribbling and then making bad decisions. Turn him into a pure shooting guard and let Mobley be his back up.

Other than those intangibles mentioned above by everybody,
    the reasons we lost IMHO:

    1. our bench failed us. Last game agains Suns, Mooch did good,
MoT scored easily inside and Rice shot the light out.
Tonight they did not do that good at all and were way outplayed by the Mavs bench, Nick, Avery and Bradley.

    2. We could not make open shots, but Norwitsky can make 3s even with hands on his face.

    3. Bad refs. Yao got hacked almost on every possesion but only got called fouled with little tic tac. Nash's obvious offensive foul
was not called and Rudy got a technical for argueing about it.

    4. Steve, Cat and Yao did ok, but to win they need to do better.

    First off, the rotation SUX!!!!!!!

Rudy is out of his mind benching Yao and Francis together several times through the game and benching them for most of the 4th quarter!

What the heck is Moochie Norris doing in the court for so long?

Glen Rice returned to his usual brick throwing fest.

Why not play Cato and Yao together?

And finally, Yao was fouled on every possession by Bradley and it was ridiculous that he didn't get the calls!

All in all, it's always the same, the Rockets started moving the ball well and we're outplaying the Mavs in the first quarters before they reverted to their usual selves.

Say bye bye to the playoffs for good unless the Suns really have a major breakdown.

With these players and rudy's erratic substitutions patterns and lack of ball movement, we are going nowhere. Not this year, not the next.

    Damn!!!!!!!!

The Rockets did everything you could ask of them tonite. They played hard defense, attacked the glass, involved Yao, and Mobley played within the offense. They simply got beat by the better team and the disparity in talent level was evident. I can live with this loss.

Can't the Rockets ever lose just because the other team is better? Why is someone always to blame? I guess some people just need to vent. Actually I find it quite amusing especially Yetti. :D
