Well, I meant, is Mavericks the only elite WC team we haven't beaten this season?

    Looks like it.

Mobley reverts to his own game of hogball(curiously after the trade deadline), Stevie sits out= BLOW OUT

Frankly, unless Rox infect the Mavs with their erratic win loss syndrome.... Nachbar and Collier will get significant garbage time.....

Gut feeling that Bradley will play good D against Yao on this one...........

    Mavs 106
    Rox 81

BTW, how can Mavs know Lakers will be the 8th seed of west?? Lakers can be end up 5-8 seed. Accordingly, Mavs will lose all those games and fall to 5-8 seed in order to avoid Lakers. The idea sounds interesting.

To me, Mavs will win whatever they can just to secure all the home court advantage as they have no idea what position Lakers can reach.

Well, I haven't predicted a game worth a crap all season. So I say the Rockets go on a 6 game winning streak starting with the Phoenix game.

    Go Rockets!! :)

I predict Franchise will have back spasms and probably be taken out before the first half is over. Mobley is going to have either a really terrible game, or one of the best by a Rocket, ever (call me crazy). Ming will get 24 points as I'm sure he has learned to deal with Najera, but it won't be as easy as the time he got 30. Rice will go 3 for 9. Moochie will get 17 points and 7 assists if Francis doesn't play at all. Look for the Mavs to pull some of the Lakers' tricks out and try and get Ming in foul trouble. I hear Najera has been working with an acting coach.

    Dallas 107
    Rockets 103

    Key to win tonight:

    1. Slow down the tempo of the game, don't try to run with the Mavs.

    2. Don't try to match them shot by shot with 3 pointers

    3. Tight up interior defense, run out to harrass the 3 point shooters. Let Mav take a lot of difficult 3 pointers, if they don't go down, we're going to get a lot of rebounds. I seen the Mavs just put up 3s like crazy, and they were stupid enough to keep taking 3s that can't go in, then lost big.

    4. Ming has to terrorize the inside.

    5. Rox plays a team game run through Yao

    6. Rox make most of their free throws

 The Key is DEFENSE tonight. I think the detroit Piston would have no trouble beating Dallas even though they do not score a lot

That's funny, Detroit's worst loss of the season was against Dallas when they got harrassed on TV.

Here's how we win, Francis or no Francis:

Dump it in to Yao and MoT EXTENSIVELY. Mavs defense can't stop these 2. If Najera is on Yao, then MoT has a favourable matchup, if Najera's not on Yao, then go to Yao. Have Glen Rice moving around, staying open, waiting for outlet passes leading to some 3-pters, which would take the pressure off the inside. Hopefully, Mobley and Steve will just try to control Nash, NVE, and Finley while also serving as decoys.

    Keys to win:

    1. Ming will have to play smart and aggressive and play one of his best games, because they are going to let Houston try and beat them overtop.....Zone will be in affect too, so he will have to play smart and look for spacing..

    2. Rice will have to be on tonight. If they are in a zone and he is on..forget about it

    3. Nash will have to be cut off. Do not allow any easy inside the lane baskets

    4. Guard the 3. Let them beat you on jumpers, but do not let them land 10 3pts..

The Mavs have lost to every playoff team in the west except for the Rockets. The Rockets have beaten every playoff team in the west except for the Mavs. The Rockets better find a way to beat this team soon because if they make the playoffs, this will be the team they'll meet.

I was thinking that the Rockets should just pound it into Yao and Taylor every time, but after watching the way the Mavs stopped Duncan last night, I'm not so sure any more.

Uhh, don't get your hopes up. Rice had his good game for the month. He will go back to missing say 80% of his three point shots, while having Nowitski just drive right past him, basically killing any Rockets hopes.

I am going to this game tonight.

    Mavs 108
    Rockets 101
