Why don't we put in Boki and Hawkins?

There's no way we can win the games tonight anyway.

True. If they can't handle the heat in the regular season, how will they handle it in the play-offs?

how can it be "fun" to watch two selfish players heave up stupid shots? trade stevie and mobley!!! they're horrible.
in the media, you can see that francis is chafing from not being the media's center of attention in houston. he plays lip service, but i don't think it's genuine.
right now, he's kind of like a young kobe. he cares about the stats but not about the winning. if he did, he would pass more to yao and put mobley in his place (at least third or fourth in the pecking order).
"off-balance shot by francis.....rebounded by the mavericks!"
we need a better half court offense because we're never in position to get a rebound. one of the guards always hoists one up before yao or the pf can get good position.

yeah...but i'd probably enjoy the game just a bit more if it were someone else commentating instead of his sorry "let's throw posey outta the game" @$$

It must feel really good to be a Dallas fan right now. The Rockets players first talk smack about the Mavs and then back it up by playing like a bunch of idiots. And once again, Rudy T is making Yao Ming set picks every time up the court, even when he was 7 for 7 with 20 points. The sadder thing is, I don't think Francis and Mobley will learn anything from this loss. They'll just continue pointing fingers at others (at the other team?) and placing the blame on situational factors (our iso-created shots just weren't falling). It's very frustrating to see a team with this much individual talent play so poorly.

We got smashed good tonight. Mavs showed us why they have the best record in NBA. The key moment of the game was in the 2nd quarter after both of Mavs' big men got into foul trouble and we did not put the game away when Yao had the hot hands.

Well, the majority of us on this thread predicted the Rockets will lose. And guess what....they did.

Not sure I would trade them both, but one of them MUST go for the better of the team. If I'm picking one of the two for trade, it's Steve Francis.

I'd also hire a defense-minded coach. George Karl?

    Pathetic. Truly pathetic.

Rudy isn't to blame. If I were Rudy I would have gotten myself ejected in the 3rd and then laid into everyone immediately after the game. I would have said "You guys gave up on me after half time, so I figured why should I stick around."

I know it's early, but I think we can write the playoffs off. It's too easy to pick this bunch apart and whether you all see it or not, we can not play defense worth a lick. These guys don't deserve to be in the playoffs they way they have played this year.

I'm so disgusted, I'm almost out of things to say. Almost.

Someone please tell me what the hell this is about...Mobley fouls Finley TWICE behind the arc, and yet he is left in to start the 4th quarter and jack up bad shots. Hell, even with Steve's terrible shooting, I'd take his semi-decent ball distribution over Cat.

The defense wasn't the problem. If you have a team shooting like that, you can't do a damn thing. I'm sorry. It was the horrible, horrible offense. Everyone dribbled the ball around while Yao got beat up in the paint, then drove and tried to force a pass through the defenders' chests to Yao. Then the great white twig slapped Yao's arm and the Mavs get the ball back. For three! Again. Everyone but Yao is playing terribly, except maybe Posey.

I just can't possibly express my utter revulsion at how this game turned out. And to think, what did I say earlier? No blowout? Good God...I love the Rockets to death, but if they play like this, I'm gonna have to go to games wearing a bag on my head.

I would also like to offer my apologies to Cmellon, ZRB, and nWo34life. I was totally wrong, and all of y'all were right on the money. If only the Rockets' shooting were too.

Why, he was right. I don't want to see thug-ball. If I did I would have been a lifelong Jazz fan.

I like Posey, but he really let Dallas get under his skin tonight. There is no excuse for his actions tonight.
