Let me join the count down. It is about 1 hr and 15 min to go for
the game. We don't have to win this game, but I believe we win
    win.

thank god Walton is joing tolbert and mike terico in calling the game. I know Walton is in his little fantasy world where Yao Ming is the king but at least he'll balance out tolbert's negativity towards yao.

ESPN is HYPING this game like it's the biggest
    that ever was...

I hope it's a good game between both TEAMS,
    not just two players (Yao/Shaq).

Hell, it would be worth it if we won the game.

But I hope it's not one of those games
where both teams can't hit a shot; i.e. low
    scoring.

This has been a totally unproductive day. I have been listening to the radio all day about the game tonight. Interestingly enough, some of the Faker fans mentioned that Rox guards did not feed Yao. So Yao will not really be a big factor on offense. Sigh. I guess words do get around. I hope Yao will take more face-up jumpers tonight.

    Another hour to game time.

With all the media hyps, players' and fans (including you) jitters,
The most calm guy, imo, is Yao. That's unbelievable.

This is TOTALLY a MUST-WIN Game

Lesser teams have beaten up on the Lakers. Recently, the Lakers seem to be getting it together. It is impt for the growth of our Rox to beat these Lakers while the Lakers are truly at full strength. This IS a must-win game. It is a statement game with all the intensity and drama of a playoff game. Moreover, tonite, we'll see just how resilient and mature our Rox have grown. Additionally, I'm sure you guys all know from the standings that one extra win/loss separates us from Utah, San Antonio and Phoenix. THE STANDINGS ARE VERY TIGHT. We can just as easily move up to 4 or 3 as we are to slip to 8 and 9. Personally, I think we are destined to become a solid 4 seed this season. But if ever a win was more precious, for reasons that the truly elite teams (pls don't egg me for this - e.g. Utah, San Antonio, Lakers) are starting to "normalize" the standings with consistent play and growing win-counts this late into the season. The West IS a stronger division than the East, and for that reason alone, we have to keep pace in the standings. But on a separate note...

Pre-game Quotes from the Peanut Gallery
My girlfriend asks me, "have you ever seen Yao fall on the court before? that must hurt!"

To which I reply, "If a Yao falls in the woods, and nobody hears it, did he really fall?"

On Shaq, my gf remarks, "Shaq can suck my left nut if I had one. He's a big racist buffoon."

Had to share that with y'all.

    :p :p :p

I want to win this game so badly that I already feel the pain in my stomach. :(

I don't care about the stats, I just hope the whole team and the whole stadium will be fired up to win this game for Yao Ming.

Everyone, which would you like to see?

    Yao + 12pt + 7reb + 3blk = Rocket Win

    OR...

    Yao + 37pt + 17reb + 6blk = Rocket Loss

Both would be fun to watch...

If Yao and Rockets can do what Shaq and Magic did, I will be happy.
