This was probably the best game I've seen this season. Great win by the Rockets. Yao held his own overall and was particularly impressive defensively until OT.

I remember Cato blocking Shaq twice in one game. He gave the impression that he was stepping up to the occasion.

To all you punks who diss Steve's game-just shut up! The man is such a badass! I'd vote him for M.V.P. anyday! Rockets kicked so much ass. I've been to a lot of sporting events, that was the best game I've ever seen. Most awesome experience-clutch,playoff caliber bball right there by the Rockets. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good game for the Rocks. A career game for Steve. Mobley also play well by let the game come to him. Yao did a great job. Even though his shooting is off he stand in there like a man and didn't back off from Shaq. I think that is all we can ask from a rookie. I think we should be very proud of Yao tonight. He didn't got intimidate by Shaq and leave all that he had on the court. Wait until he got stronger then I think Shaq will have problem with Yao.
Rocks need to design some new plays for Yao. The fade away tur around jumper is getting old especially if he is not making the shots.

Ming survived. Great game, worth all the hype. Props to the laker team and especially Shaq. With Kobe out of sync, they almost killed us in the regulation. What a game Francis had played. He is DUH MAN, period. Mobely was fantastic too. Posey got too hyped up in the critical moment, didnt like him to rush the shots, but overall he still had decent game, especially shutting off Kobe. People were talking about how Shaq's going to destroy Ming, in a sense of confidence. Again, Ming proved them wrong. This is wonder boy, who knows how to live under pressure and not back out. What a MING. Greatest win for the Rox so far this season(may in last 3 years as well). Now bring on Spurs and Mavs, Rox is coming.

And it was Eddie, not Cato, that blocked Shaq twice in one possession last season at the Staple Center. Shaq went in for a slam, Eddie blocked it, Shaq got the board, went back up again for another slam attempt, and Eddie blocked it again from behind.

Yao Ming definitely held his own and maybe a bit more. He set the tone early on to make a big statement as saying he is right behind the Big Daddy. Although Yao didn't score much after the first 5 minutes of the first, but he definitely showed Shaq that it is not that easy anymore in the middle when Yao is there. I see great things in Yaos future. I also noticed Shaq doesn't have that much lift anymore compare to 2 years ago. It might be the toe or it might be that the end is near for him as the big dominant center in the NBA. Watch out Shaq, scoring 30 wouldn't be that easy anymore after this game. Go Rox! Championship wouldn't be that far away after all ;)

Anytime you beat the defending champions is great. Especially playing against Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. That flagrant foul though on Shaq wasn't really flagrant.

Back to the victory. The win means this team has the talent to challenge the better teams in the league.

I'm just worried that the victory cost the Rockets the health of Eddie Griffin. He wasn't himself after the fall or collision, or whatever happened. I just hope his strained back isn't as bad as I fear it to be.

That was the best game I've seen in 3-4 years! I lost my voice after screaming on the top of my lungs. I absolutely love's Cat's and Yao's D! Stevie, that's the best game I've ever seen him play! Just an amazing game. Tom Tolbert is an idiot!

I've never screamed like a little girl before. Until Steve made that pass to Yao for the game winning dunk.

I think I yelled louder than I did when the Texans dusted the Cowboys.

Yao could of gotten 20 pts easily, but he missed those easy jumpers he normally makes. And if he was a little more aggressive tonight, he could of had a big night Shaq or no Shaq. I just hope someone tells him that no one can really stop him if he really wants to get the points. I saw that hook shot over Shaq during the first and that was it for me to be convinced that he'll eventually dominate this game of basketball. That shot will never be blocked. No, not even Shaq. I guess we just have to wait awhile until he finds out how good he can really be. I hope that wait won't be long...

All I have to say was that was an amazing game/experience/thrillride.

Oh yeah, and that trade for Posey was genius.

Yao didn't need to have a high scoring night tonight, that wasn't the point.

    Yao's job was to:

    1) draw attention and double teams thus opening up things for Steve and Cuttino
    2) set picks and roll to the hoop
    3) contain shaq and guard the basket

I'd say mission accomplished on all fronts, especially for a Rookie.
