Is Cato going to play tommorow??
If not, he is a HUGE loss against the Kings

Kings are in a slump, and the Rockets are at home. It usually takes a couple of home games before everyone on the Rox are comfortable with the court, especially the rim. If Ming doesn't play tired as he did last night, and is making his buckets, the Rockets should do just fine. Make the extra pass to the open man, play gutsy defense, and exploit the Kings lack of Webber, Bobby J., and an injured Bibby. Unless the Kings just go off beyond the arc, I don't see how the Rockets will lose, even if they do go back to an ISO offense. I think Peja will have a big game, Clark and Vlade will share 20+ points with good perimeter shooting, and crafty inside moves, and I think Hedo will work Griffin especially if Hedo is nailing his outside jumpers, which will force Griffin to step out on him. Bibby will get his assists, and points, but won't be as productive I don't think. All in all, I think the key will be to keep Hedo from having a good game, and hope he misses his perimeter jumpers. And if Yao doesn't play tired, maybe Clark and Vlade won't have big games after all. I emphasize the frontcourt, and exploiting it right now. Peja has just been on fire as of late, and I don't see him being stopped, even with Posey. My prediction:

    Rockets: 104
    Kings: 88

The Rockets will feed off their win against the T-Wolves and play good team ball. Their shots won't be dropping as much, but they'll still shoot around 50% from the floor, which is great still.

Tired Ming = 24 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks??

I don't mind Ming being tired then.

I didn't want make a double negative so the sentence could make sense. Perhaps it's not worded clearly, but grammatically speaking, it's typed correctly.

I think he just worded that badly and meant to say that Ming should play like he played last night... not tired.

This is a must win game with Webber, Jackson, and Pollard (I think) all out, and us at home, the Rockets have got to capitalize.

Holy smoke! The links are freaking fast and clear! In fact better than NBA.com's videos. carayip, you are the best. Now I don't have to miss any Rockets game at all!

I was looking up some stuff on the Kings. Turns out, NO ONE played big minutes against the Lakers, and they had a day off after that game. So the fact that they have no backups doesn't matter, Divac played 27 minutes, Clark 20, and the most was Peja with 38.

They're going to be very well rested and, unfortunately, slightly adjusted to be playing without Webber.

Maybe it's going to be tougher than we thought? Steve can't clearly outplay Bibby, Ming will have to deal with Divac's experience/witchery, and Posey's defensive style is not suited to a shooter like Peja.

I stick by my previous post though. Get the ball to our PF's, and go to the rack. Forget jumpers.

Actually, Doug Christie is their best defensive player. Clark is a good shotblocker, but he is also very thin, which hurts him on defense. He's a little like Eddie, in that respect.

    Hello Rocket fans!

Since I haven't watched a single game played by Ming thus far into the season, due to my location; I'm very excited and thankful (carayip) in respect to this Internet broadcasting of Rox games...

However, it seems as though, when the Live broadcast is playing, the image is very blurry, and often interrupted. I'm hard to believe its due to my computer, because nothing of the sort has happened before. Any tips into solvingt his? I have been waiting a very long time to finally watch Ming play!

BTW, I'm a Raptors follower, but have been lurking around your Forum for the past few months. Great sense of community, and intelligent basketball convos! The Rockets have actually grown on me, and are definitely my second fav. team now.

    Thanks!

... Also, concerning the streaming Live broadcast -when it first loads it is fine and clear, but after about 20 seconds, it becomes blurry and choppy in terms of performance.

I'm taking this is my connection's problem, but I have a cable modem, and it usually is sufficient enough to play all the NBA.com videos, et al.

    Thanks, once again.

IMO, the key to the game will be how Posey plays. If he plays tough defense and take the ball to the hole, Preja will have a rough game. Posey has definately got the athletic edge so hopefully his offense can also hamper with Preja's shooting by making him play more defense.

I thought we're supposed to get ALL games on NBA League Pass? Strange... my digital channel guide doesn't have it listed anywhere as well.

The NBA League Pass does list the game on NBA TV though. Not sure if my cable operator carries that.

The Kings will come out firing in this game. The weakness of the Rockets is that we tend to lose our focus in the game when the other team comes out firing. The Kings know this and they want Francis and Mobley to jack up quick shots. This is going to be a statement game to determine whether Francis and Mobley can stay with game plan even though they see Bibbly, Christie and Peja jacking up (and probably making) long distance shots from everywhere.

Furthermore, the last time we played the Kings, Peja was not fully recovered from his injury. He practically led the Kings back the other day against the Lakers. The Rockets cannot have a shoot out against Peja and the rest of the Kings' cast (albeit sans C-Webb). The Rockets defense will need to step up in this game and take advantage of the loss of C-Webb.

I'm not really sure how this game turns out.. My Kings are in a major slump right now and the injuries are not helping. Your Rockets are much improved from last year, so it will be a good game.

With the Kings short on big men, I think the Rockets will have to play from the inside out, If the Rockets try to run with the Kings, the Kings will pick them apart.

Vlade has been playing real tired for some time now, this will be a good chance for Yao to take it to him, I think this game will be decided on how Vlade holds up.

No prediction here today, just not sure what will happen.

Been awhile since I have been here..

Finally took the time to register, again.
