are you sure jimmy jackson doesn't know the offense? he did score 23 against san antonio the other day. besides, how hard can an offense be when all you have to do is do layup drills on the opponent. webber or not, underestimating this team is the worst we can do.

I don't think Kings should be so stupid to score 152.

If Webber is out, we'll win. Griffin will have a BREAKOUT game against Keon Clark.

Here's a true story: When he was with Toronto, the whole team wanted to wear high socks for a game, and they did, but when Clark came out, he couldn't, because they kept slipping down. He was too thin for high socks!

Moral of the story? Clark is one of the few people in the league Griffin can bang around with.

Sane you have no idea what you are talking about. I'm not saying Keon Clark will school Eddie or the other way around, but it won't be a blow out either way. Clark is small for height and in my opinion should not play backup C or even PF, but he's DEFINITELY no slouch. One reason the Kings wanted to bring him over from Toronto is cuz he's an overachiever. He plays a high energy style and provides quite a few blocks with his long arms. His offense and shooting skills has steadily increased as well. I'm not saying Eddie won't play well against him or that Keon will dominate. I just don't think this is as clearly cut as you think it is (especially considering the funk Eddie is in).

if webber and yao don't play, i don't think that evens things out b/c yao is such an integral part of our offense and success, and webber can be temporarily replaced by the likes of their role players. the rockets, on the other hand, will miss yao and will revert back to their selfish playing style and (please God no) to their isolation ball. please yao, get better soon!

If Yao's out, so are the Rockets.

Why is everybody saying the matchup is Eddie and Clark when rudy will NOT put him in the game. I do not think he has over 10 minutes playing(Per Game) in the last 2 games. Rudy will not pull Kenny (for some dum ass reason). I was at the last game in the second quarter and kenny either fouled or got a TO and then a tech and missed shot and still Rudy left him in there. I do not understand that:confused:

Agreed. Griffin won't surely take advantage of Clark. But there's nothing Clark can do that Griffin can't do right now.

If Yao is out, Mo will be the backup C tonight, and Griffin will see playing time. If Ming is playing, MoT will be on the bench for most of this game. Right now, Rudy is using his F's according to matchups, and this is a great matchup for Griffin.

I'm not underestimating the Kings. But, common. Even with a fully healthy roster, the Kings would have a lot of difficulty beating us. We're playing great at home, Francis and Ming are fired up, and we're on a roll right now. But, incidentally, Webber, Bibby, Stojakovic, turkoglu, Pollard, and Funderburle are ALL out.

Give our Rockets some credit. We're the 3rd best team in the West, and in 23 games, we'll still be the 3rd best team in the West. By season's end, we'll be a 5th seed. 5th seed, plays well at home, on a roll, playing great defense, against a team missing 6 players out of their #1 rotation.

    Do the math.

We win or someone's got to answer to all the fans.

    Cato vs Divac
    KT vs Clark
    Rice vs Wallace
    Mobley vs Christie
    Francis vs Bobby Jackson

MoT, Griffin, T-Mo, Hawkins and Mooch against Jimmy Jackson and Damon Jones.

We're winning this one. If we don't, there will be HELL on this board.

any updates on Yao? If he doesn't play not sure we have much chance againt the Queens!!!

Stevie and Cat will have to play big with major contributions from Cato and MoT...actually the whole bench.

    Yao will Start tonight!!!!

Dec. 10 (Updated 11:41 a.m. CT) - The Rockets will look to knock off another of the NBA's best teams tonight when the Sacramento Kings come calling to Compaq Center (KNWS TV-51; SportsRadio 610 AM; Radio Noticias 920 AM). In its first appearance following an impressive 97-72 mauling of the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, Houston will be seeking to snap a nine-game losing skid to Sacramento. After coming down with flu-like symptoms following yesterday's practice, Yao Ming was present for today's shootaround and in good spirits. He will be in tonight's starting lineup. Rockets.com has a full preview of tonight's game, including the Inside Scoop, Who's Hot and Who's Not, tonight's Key Matchup as well as the latest Injury Report.

Based on rockets.com, Yao is fine and he will be in the starting linup. Good news! For us to win, we have to cut down TOs.
Last time when we played against Kings, that Dog Christie got 5 steals by himself alone.

Hey let's divide the game thread into three parts. 1) pregame 2) game chat and 3) post game.

I appreciate organization, but having to wade through 100 (no offense guys) game chat posts when you watched the game just to find the more intelligent post game analysis is a bore.

This could be the biggest game in the history of sports.

If we blow Sacremento out, the Rockets will win the championship.

If we lose, consider our chances -- gone to hell.

THe fact that Cat is playing puts a whole new spin on the game for the Kings! He will have to be guarded as he is a serious scorer and they wont be able tp play the passing lanes to the same degree! This will lead to less steals and a higher level of performance by the Rockets. Containing Jackson is a priority for our Guards, Steve wont be able to wander on defence, he must guard his man by staying with him!

So Ming will play, but that doesn't surprise me at all. I noticed one interesting thing though (I noticed this before I came to the United States): flu is never a big deal to Chinese, at least I carry on as usual when hit by a flu. Americans seem to be more affected by flu. Don't know why. Any conspiracy theories?
