Huge win, major props to Stevie and Yao Ming. Big thanks to RudyT for not using the zone tonight. Good job Rudy! It's an exciting time to be a Rockets fan. :)

Really? He didn't use the zone? Is this a good thing just cuz it's inaffective against the Kings or are you bashing it's overall use?

hope they can beat the Grizzles. this is the kind of game that the Rockets have to win. now that they are beating the good teams in the NBA, they have to keep beating the bad teams also.

    Good game tonight...

And to think people wanted to fire Rudy T.

My favorite thing about tonights game was when Griffin came in the game in the first half and scored 11 pts. in 5 min. Hopefully this will put a spark under his butt.:p

    OH MAN!!!!!

    HOW SWEET IT IS!!!!

And how about that Jai-alai pass by Yao???!!!

Another solid team effort is such poetry in motion. And I was so happy to see Webber suit up too. It makes it all the more sweeter knowing Sac had Peja AND Webber available.

    Great Performances
    1. Divac, in foul trouble was non-existent.
    2. Rox turnovers were down and the turnover differential was marginal
    3. Rox D held Sac scoring down throughout the game.
    4. Bench play was superb
    5. Stevie was as good as can be... (and what a warrior too! sprained ankle and all!)

We have our two warriors in Franchise and Dynasty. Man, gotta love it!

    FUTURE IS BRIGHT!!!

I'm not bashing the zone, we actually do a pretty good job with it but the Kings are the best shooting/passing team in the league and they're not the kind of team you should zone IMHO. If I remember correctly in the first Kings game we started out in a zone and the Kings shredded it and got out to like a 22 to 5 lead or something like that. I doubt the Kings can be zoned by anyone, especially when Bibby, Peja, and Hedo are all back and healthy.

In case people didn't notice, but Yao was suffering from flu like symptoms before the game. Maybe that explains why he was shooting so poorly during the game. STILL, hell of a job by Yao and Francis!! MAD PROPS!!!

Please don't write in Chinese on this board...

So we come out of this 6 game stretch of high-caliber playoff teams with a 4-2 run. Much better that most were expecting, and good enough to satisfy even the most optimistic I hope.:D

This team is sick, just plain sick. ;)
Let's see... Kings, check.... Spurs, check... now just gotta kick the Mavs butt and we'll officially be the best team in the West. :D

I wasn't able to see the game but I can infer that Francis and Yao did extremely well, and Griffin did pretty good too. How well did Mobley, TMo, and KT play?

Oh, give props to Cato too, good amount of rebounds in 13 minutes, a block, and points to go along. Very nice.

    Go Rox!

Wow...That was the best Rockets game I've seen in a long while...Stevie is da man! I'll say it before and I'll say it again, if this team pass the ball and play unselfishly, we will be so so good with our talent and depth...my only complaint for the night was Glenn Rice...twice there was a fast break situation (I think he had two guys open underneath for both times)...he decides to pull up for the 3 and brick it instead of passing it in for an easy deuce....not very smart...

Yao's passing is just amazing!!! Cat played great D last night!

Here are my pics from the game last night.

to view the album, otherwise, heypartner has kindly offered to host them and they should be up soon.

This was my first game of the year, and I have to say,
    a) there was an air of excitement that I haven't seen in several years
    b) watching Yao was truly impressive - he looked even better than I was expecting
    c) Yao is solid, not out of proportion at all - especially next to someone like Keon Clarke.
    d) Yao is fast, and he hustles
    e) Kings were wary, maybe even scared to take the ball inside, particularly when we had Yao, Griffin and Morris playing
    f) Francis is truly an inspiration

Hmmm...DNP-CD for Taylor. Seems like he would have gotten at least a few minutes with Kenny having an off night. I wonder if this is the first DNP-CD of his career...

    Is he in Rudy's doghouse??

If he is, hide the scooby snacks.

Anyway...I'm just glad that Webber played...otherwise we would be hearing the "yeah you guys won, BUT Webber didn't play" bullsh!t

    Our boys are for real!!!

MoT got a DNPCD against the sixers as well.

26 minutes combined against spurs and hornets. 0 points. 0-8 from the field. maybe that's why.
