Our current record against sub-.500 teams: 10-12. PATHETIC.

If we even won half of those, we'd practically have our playoff spot solidified. Just HALF.

Hey, on the bright side, I'm not noticing a whole lot of difference between how we play on the road and at home anymore...

EDIT: A little sidenote. We started out 5-1 against those teams, so since Nov. 24, we're 5-11 against them.

 

Well, at least the Lakers lost and Tim Duncan was just awesome. I doubt Yao will ever be that good.

 

Nov 24, isn't that close to when Cuttino Mobley came back from injury?

Whats up with all the Yao Bashing.He saw the ball 8 time tonight and had 10 points. If you give him the ball he will score 50 % of the time. Remember he's still has so much to learn. As for Cat hes had 4 yrs to learn, whats his excuse ? If you want to Bash Yao thats okay but don't forget, he still is one of the top rookies, oh yeah did I mention he is a ROOKIE!!!!!!!!!!! from another country who has only played in America for 4 months now!!

Yao will never be good without the touch. Have we noticed that Franchise ended up only one assist, which was in the end of the fourth quarter.

Yao was hot at the beginning; but he was roughed up because no screen was set for him at the low post. But the killer was he just wasted his energy without the touch. The problem was no ball movement and so it was difficult to do an inlet pass.

 

Why would a Spurs fan want to post on a Rockets Post site? I wouldn't be caught dead on the S.A. Slures or D-town Mavdicks site... You guys are not going to win it all, The Slures are the Oilers of Basketball, get to the end with a good record and choke!! And your one championship didn't count, it was during the strike seaon, we have two real championships!! Go to your own post site

 

The truth is, Rox is my second fave team, with Hakeem, and now with Ming.

Not meaning any harm now, it's just so frustating watching Ming being thrashed by so many ignorant fans of your own.

Steve did not play a good game. He was off for the whole night and only 1 assist, 3 TOs. This is below average for a PG.

Remember for the previous two games against Utah, Steve played excellent. Well, he figured that he could shoot the light off. Unfortunately, he met a defensive team today.

Steve should learn that he should involve his teammates early in the game, and then start to look for his own shots.

If Steve can not learn the skills to be a PG after next season. I bet Rox will bring a real PG and move Steve to SG.

In a way, Rox should bring in more assistant coaches to work with both Yao and Steve. The current coaches are not doing a great job.

SA is really good at draft. They picked Parker and Ginobilli who are excellent players. They also signed their players wisely. It seems that SA has a good mix of old and young players. Old players can always help young players develop in a team.

In contrast, Rox does not do a good job in draft and also overpaid many players on the current team. I would rather see Rox trade away M. Taylor and Norris and bring in some cheap veteran players. This should stabilize the situation on court much better.

Look, TP with 24 pts (9-16 FG), 7 assts, in a ROAD WIN against current champ, and yet many of our fans wanting Kidd next summer, while there's a BIG hole in the middle with DRob leaving.

This is still Steve's team. If we can get consistent production from Steve, we should be able to beat many sub .500 teams. Unfortunately Steve is not very consistent right now. If this continues, Rudy has to think about bringing in a PG.

I actually think Mobley is fine. He works on his defense and he is adjusting to the arrival of Yao. He is not taking a lot of shots.

 

Hey you guys get Kidd, we will take parker and you guys can have Kato,mobley,moochie,Rice,Posey,our ballboy,hotdog stand man, and especially Rudy T, use him as your ball boy.......

 

I agree with you. Lots of fans are stupid, but they are not professional, so it is understandable. But comments from these experts are silly, lots of them are just plain stupid.

Kidd over Parker is not a huge upgrade. Right now, Parker-Duncan work so well, why change it? SA is better served to sign a center instead of Kidd. Plus, Kidd's style does not fit Duncan's style. Kidd is best on an open-court game while Duncan prefers half-court. No big man likes run and gun.

Kidd never won anything until he moves to the Eastern conference where there is no big man. In Phoenix, he has some nice players around him and his team is just ordinary. I do not think Kidd improved his skills by just moving to the Eastern conference.

 

The worst thing happen to us is that last Utah game when Francis shot the light out and we won that game. He now probably thinks he can shoot the light out every game and win every game that way.

 

Being a fan of college basketball, tonight's game is the reminder why I'm never a big fan of NBA games. Yes, there are spectacular plays, but they are more than made up by players' selfish and boneheaded plays. Go to watch a top college programs like Duke, Kansas or Arizona, then compare to any Houston games vs sub 500 teams.

Why there is not much Yao bashing? That's because he is the only Rox who is fundamentally sound, and doesn't make too many mistakes. Yes, sometimes he struggles and in some games he can't make a shot to save his life. His rebound sucks for a guy his size. I don't think he is 2nd best center in the league. So what? He is a rookie, a foreign one at that. He is not yet the #1 option on this team, Francis is. Francis has the responsibility of playing smart, getting teammates involved and taking over the games. The fact that Yao does that time to time speaks volumes of his potential. Even nights like this he still dished out 3 assists. Maybe Yao isn't aggressive because he is used to structured game plays, and follows coaches' instruction too much. I don't expect Yao to demand balls yet. When he is a third year veteran, I would hold him accountable. Right now, it's Francis' team. And above all, it's Rudy's team. Rudy needs to stop this brick laying insanity.
