Did u watch the game? He was fighting his ass off, without any screen (like shaq is getting ) from his teammates, down low. I saw atleast twice he had Brian Grants completely sealed within 2 feet from the basket and his teammate failed to pass him the ball.

To stop Yao, all teams have to do is front him physically like they did tonight, because he couldn't catch up to a lob over the top to save his damn life. He's so slooooooooooooooooooooow. Who else was screaming at the damn TV when Steve threw a decent lob pass ovre the top trying to get the ball into Yao facing a fronting defender, but the ball sails over Yao's head and trickles out of bounds because Yao's feet are superglued to the court and can't get his slow ass into gear.

And then on the other end B-Grant makes a simple cut into the paint, leaving Yao once again with his feet cemented in place, takes a pass and jams it home, with Yao nowhere to be found.

Or how bout when Yao catches the ball in the low block, holds onto it for like 5 minutes before he makes a move, and then when he does make a move, he throws a wild pass to Cat, but Cat has to become Jerry freakin Rice just to get a hand on the pass, and if we're lucky, instead of turning the ball over out of bounds, Cat, whose defender has had like 5 minutes to recover due to Yao's desperately ugly pass, only has time to jack up an airball prayer with a defender draped on his jock.

if they wait for three years, there may not be a single fan watching their game.

when will the rox org. realize that rudy t. system does not work with this young, stubborn, immature, selfish, under-achieving team.

people appreciates the two championships he brought to this city. but in this game,
what has he done for this city lately????

Mobley is off big time. I don't know how much trade value he even has. He is an undersized two defensively and an underskilled one offensively.
Maybe Rudy will just move quietly to the front office and they could hire a hungry young coach that could breathe some life and grow some balls on this team. Look what Musselman is doing for Golden State.

Yao is slow but he is not getting the help inside as far as spacing and timely post passes. He needs to hit the weights too. If he hit the weights like he hit the floor, he would be unstoppable.

Those of you who don't think our opinion matters do not know the history of grassroots movements. The 1960's civil rights movement began as a grassroots movement.

India winning it's eventual independence from Great Britain began as a grassroots movement.

So, believe me, if enough season ticket holding, T.V. watching, Rockets fans, and media say enough is enough, trust me, Les Alexander will get the message and FIRE HIS ASS!!!!!!!!!!

(BTW, I have already received two emails to add to the petition.

I will wait until I have a substantial number (50-100) and then send it to both the Rockets head office and to the Sports 610 and the Chronicle and local News stations!!!!!!!!!

Trust me guys (and gals), we can make a difference if you REALLY believe it!!!!

This really sucks. There is really nothing that can be done. Just play Nachbar and Colliers and see what they can do. There is no leader on this team. Probelm is that Cat is too close to Francis, and Cat still thinks he is a top tier guard. That's ridiculous sh*t.

Rudy is just from the old school.Players are different now, younger, quicker, stronger.Rudy has never and will never adjust to the newer style of playing and coaching. He has just ran out of plays, everyone knows that the Roxs only run 2-plays... Play 1: Isolate Stevie 1-on-1. Play 2: Isolate Cat 1-on1. Oh yeah and they have one more play that I almost forgot: Rudy T"Just go out there and everyone has the green light, So just have fun" :D

they might as well stick with rudy t. if they are going to replace him with a young coach. what this team needs is an "old-school" coach (like hubie brown). a coach that will discipline and kick their butt if they do not play to their ability. just an idea....mike fratello is best suited for this team. he did a hell of a job in atlanta in the 80's and did a decent job with cleveland even without a star player.

a coach that will yell at thier face if they do not follow the game plan, play selfish and under-achieve.

As much as I like Rudy, I really feel like he doesn't have this team in hand. I keep telling myself that we ought to be patient and at least give this team the benefit of a training camp together before I pass judgement but when you see them blow games for not sticking to the plan nearly every time they play a sub .500 team, it makes me want his head on a stick.

What a historian. Historical philosophy is full of holes and ad hoc post ergo propter hoc arguments, sorry I take a lot of philosophy courses.

Van Gundy isn't doing much. He won games with next to no talent in NY.

rudy t. might have come from old-school style but he does not apply that on this team.

rudy t. is a player's coach. he just let them play their game. that's why there is no direction. especially with young players now a days who thinks of themselves first before the team.

"old-school" coaches are hubie brown, chuck daly, mike fratello, bobby knight.

Hey how about the Zar-Mike Fratello. He was Broadcasting tonights game for Miami and he sure seemed to know what he would do if he had this group of guys. Does anyone take Mike Fratello or Jeff Van Gundy over Rudy T ?
