This game's at home and there's no way we're gonna lose a game to a bad team at home given our home record this year, even if the Rockets don't get up all the time for the sub .500 teams. I say right now that the Rockets continue the wins and go on a long winning streak, 6-10 games if not more. I don't care who it is, bring em on! GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!

This should be Griffin's breakout game. No better game for us to have Posey either. We'll need his D on Big Dog, although I still think Rice is the starter and will get more minutes.

It has to be the Francis/Ming show again for us to win. I'm not too sure how much longer Ming can play.

I say give Cato a chance. He always performs well in Atlanta, and has been performing well, regardless of the place.

Hope they learned something from those losses to the Grizzlies and the Clippers... Now let's see the rox go out there and kick the Hawks sorry asses. :)

But really the Hawks have some great talent, and they're not all that bad a team. I'm afraid they might keep the score close, but I'm predicting a moderate to slightly bad offensive night for both teams. Defense is once again the key to victory. Rox won't give up on this game, Rox win by at least 6.

Hey, I think this is a great thing to be complaining about compared to what the complaints were at the beginning of the season. Earlier, we were beating every team we were supposed to and losing to the good ones, and people were saying "we may be winning, but we haven't beaten a winning team yet". So you can see why this complaint is better: I'd rather be beating the best teams and losing to the worst. In the end, the "below .500" teams aren't gonna be in the playoffs with us. :D

It seems like the Rox play the Yao-centered offense a lot when they're up against a great opponent like the Kings or the Pacers. That's why they win those games.

They enter games against teams like the Grizz or the Heat with complacency; playing to pad stats and thinking that they will win eventually because they are up against inferior competition.

We'd be something like 17-7 if we only played smart against Memphis and LAC.

No prediction. I don't know which Rox team will show up.

sometimes, I guess it is Rudy T who make Rox lose the games against weak teams. He probably does not want to put all his eggs in one basket or try to give Ming a light working load when deal with weak ones?
anyway, I hope rox can keep the balance of "win" and "win all the way down to final".
I even thought coach should not use Mng for one or two games. Without ming we can beat these trash teams too, right? well, it is only IMO, any thought?

If we don't revert back to iso game then we should win the game. We have the advantage at the guard positions with Mobley and Francis vs. Terry and Newble. The Hawks had the advantage at the forwards position with the Bid Dog and Abdur-Rahim. So if the Rockets can control the middle with Yao then we should have the advantage. Even though Ratliff is a good defender but at 6"10" he will have a tough time guarding Yao.

if we beat the good teams and lose to bad teams like we always do, we might not make the playoffs at all  There are just as many bad teams if not more than there are good teams :D

I don't believe this at all. The Hawks best player is a "4", and he's a pretty tough 4 at that. Hawks have good scoring forwards in Glenn Robinson and Shareef Abdur-Raheem, Theo Ratliff is a decent defensive 5, and Terry, for what it's worth, is more a 2 these days than a point guard.

I tend to think the Rocks will win, but Raheem will push EG in a good way. EG will have to be on his game to contain Abdur-Raheem.

They keep Dion because he's a local kid. His defense is awful, and that's what keeps him on the bench.

    nice post, btw, derrock.

    From the Hawks' web site.

The game will be televised locally on UPN, and WSB radio Atlanta will broadcast the game. I'm looking to see if WSB web broadcasts...

I hate doing this, but "edit" is blocked. WSB radio has a url, http://wsbradio.com, but it's blocked from work. I can't investigate.

    Abdur-Rahim a "rough" Forward?

The reason we don't have Shareef on the Rockets right now is because his defense is awful.

Griffin or Mo should have a big game tonight. By big, I mean 25-28 pts.

Early in the season people were saying we couldn't beat good teams and were feasting on GS and Denver. Now people are saying we can't beat bad teams because we lost to the Clips and and Grizz.

Maybe we are just inconsistent because we have a young team that hasn't played together much. We can beat anyone on any given night, we just can't beat everybody everynight......... YET!!!!!
