KCato is a much better player than Yao will ever be. I am sick of seeing Yao gets twice as much playing time. His contibution to the team has always been negative.

Bench Yao pleeeeeeeease.

First Half Synopsis for Granville

It's been a high scoring, action packed 1st half for the Rox. Collectively, the Rox shot over 50%, as did the Clips. The Rox have gotten outstanding contributions so far from Mobley and Rice. Cat has not only been offensively productive from 2 land AND 3 pt. stripe, but he's been very quick on the defensive end with notable steals. Francis started off hot, and is having a very good game himself. Don't know if Andre Miller is getting the better of him in this matchup, but right now Rox guards are performing above average.

Big surprise is Glen Rice, who is also making solid contributions off the bench. Hitting open Js and making the Clips respect the perimeter shooters is helping Taylor and Co.

Among the no shows are Yao, EG, and Posey who collectively have 4 points and 4 fouls at the half. Yao got into foul trouble early and RudyT went straight to Cato with nearly 8 minutes to go in the 1st. Cato meanwhile, has also been a unsung hero doing his thing on the glass and on the put backs.

What's missing u ask? DEFENSE.

Rox need to contain the Clips, who are getting fewer FGAs but are shooting red hot.

Thx to Lotrimin Ultra, it appears Yao has regained his footing and has made 3 of 4 shots since the 2nd half began.

Cherokee Parks is making EG looked like a scared scalped chicken.

Griffin is completely a trash. I hope Rox can throw him away as soon as possible. He is not even comparable to Parks. Every forward can dominate Griffin so easily.

 

dang! 1/2 through 3rd qtr and the Rox are shooting good with 50%FG, less turnovers than the Clippers, but the Clips are shooting better......62.2%FG ......... good isn't going to be good enough here! C'mon Rox......... you guys can do it! (C Magette's having a darn good night so far!)

 

My Prediction

Clips will go ice cold in the 4th and their FG% will come back to Earth to a more modest 50%.

Rox pull out the win. 99 - 94

The substitutions in this game is interesting. I thought Cato deserved more playing time given his good minutes. Maybe Yao will not close out the 4th.
