Helluva a game!!!!! Dumb ass refs ripped Andre Miller though.... Hope Glen Rice shoots consistently , he's the outside weapon that Rox need....

Lakers are within sight!!!!!

 

Greetings, Rockets fans.

That was a very exciting game. Good shooting all around. Glen Rice always makes us his byatch.

Too bad it had to be decided by such an awful call. The loss doesn't mean much for the Clips (and the win means a great deal for the Rockets), but as a matter of principle it's a shame for the ref to play that kind of role. Calls like that scream "fix", and I hate to think that about the NBA.

Oh well. Hopefully you'll pass the Lakers up. That's about the most I can hope for this season.

 

Come on, if there was a conspiracy would there have been a call on Posey in the first place? (which was the correct call of course).

Miller missed two free throws late in the game that could have iced it, which were not lane violations. We were just lucky.

The rule change this year is to prevent the lean. Miller didn't step over but he did lean over the line before the shot hit net.

I think the refs tried to warn Miller earlier in the game to shape up by calling him for the blatant one that took place in the second half. Miller did not change his ways enough, and the refs took umbrage.

 

Maggete was on fire in the 1st quarter. he scored 15 points. Rest of the game 14 points. Also he was their #1 option. Cat played a hell of a game. Rice was the player of the game. Every time he took a shot it looked good. The Clippers annnouncers gave Andre Miller player of the game with 40 seconds left in reulation. He was the player of the game for us sort of.

Also Steve was getting beat by Miller time and time again. And finally almost at the end of the 3rd quarter he blocked miller's shot. And from then on Miller was more hesitant.

Cherooke parks played like an allstar.
Yao played great defense
Mobley carried us in the 1st half.
Steve and Rice wasw our ofensive heros down thestretch.
Rice hits a 3 to cut the lead to 1. Then Steve hits a 3 to tie the game

Props to Rudy for playing Rice, Taylor, Yao, Steve, and Mobley the entire 4th and Ot except for the Posey sub. in the last 10 sec.

Only 8 players played tonight which is a good sign that he is shortening the rotation.

 

A win is always welcome but I'm not happy because of the questionable foul.We still can't finish off teams in close situations,being 5 up with 4 minutes to go and yet almost losing the game shows that we are playing not to lose rather than going out to win.
Rice showed veteran class tonight and I just hope that the guys can learn from him.
We didn't deserve to lose to the Lakers and got a raw deal against the Wizards as well which goes to show that most of the times close calls go against visiting teams.

 

man, that Magette is a b**** to guard so lets cut Mobley some slack. I was on him a little in the first half but he picked it up at the end of the game and play some hard nosed defense. just wish he would bring that Defense intensity from the start.

hell of a game though, the Clippers always give us fits. I dont know what it is....maybe its just that certain teams like to play in the summit.

I missed it all.. and all I have to say is wtf

 

It's not a conspiracy. I'm guessing that the ref felt he shouldn't have called the foul (even though it was OBVIOUS) so he tried to make it up. He was gonna call the lane violation no matter what Andre did. And on that free-throw, Andre wasn't anywhere near violation (the ball not only reached the hoop, but swished through before he stepped over). There's no way he could have seen it that way. But he just decided to intervene. That's just awful, blatently biased officiating, and it has no place in this league.

I'm not bitter about the loss, I'm bitter about the way these refs have made themselves bigger than the game.

 

Sounds funny. I don't think the refs were very nice. How could they call a foul when only 1 second left?!!! If Sucker Miller had made 1 FT.........

 

That's some nasty thing to say about a person. Wang is better than a lot of other NBA players. Of course he's No Yao Ming

 

well, to the clips fans.. all I have to say is.. we were due for some bad officiating to finally favor us.

 

I feel for ya dawg. I feel bad about the win, but as a rocket's fan, I'll get over it.

 

ok ok..enough about the last foul..if the clippers was meant to win then Andre Miller SHOULD of made the second free-throw..and the rockets SHOULD of missed all the 3-points they jack up at the last few seconds of the game..no conspiracy there...it was up to the man above..and he's favor our rockets..!!!!

 

Great win rockets!!! A win is a win and we'll take it. We needed this one badly. Props to GRice. He once again proves why he is one of the greatest shooters of ALL TIME. To those of you who didnt watch him in charlotte and miami; THIS IS WHAT HE USED TO DO EVERY GAME. Just gotta to give him when hes in the game.
I Like the way they kept going to MO because of the mismatch he had.
This was the Best offensive performance ive seen from them all year long. Just gotta stay consistant and cannot afford to look past the bulls this friday. BIG GAME SUNDAY.

They wouldn't have called it if hadn't been so blatent. Posey mugged his arse for no reason. Miller was trippled team, off balanced with nowhere to go and Posey hacks him across the arm from behind. Posey gave them no choice.

 

Man, what a game for me to have to miss. I probably would have stopped breathing.

Seems like it was a hard-fought game for all four quarters. The Clippers just seem to match up really well against the Rockets or psyche them out or simply have their number or something. Hopefully whatever hex they had on us is over now.

Props to the Rockets for not folding when the pressure was on and the game looked over. It's great that they at least took advantage of the bizarre opportunities that they were presented with. Stupid foul by Posey, but hey, stuff like that happens in the NBA.

And what a game by Rice! I only saw the highlights, of course, but man... I wish he could do that every night. I wish we had more decorated veterans to carry us when the chips are down. Mo looked to have had another great game, too.

Well, that one's behind us. Hopefully we'll move on and take care of the Bulls... after their crushing of the Lakers, it would be the height of stupidity to take them lightly at this critical juncture.
