I really don't understand why you all hate our guards so much. They are the ones who are doing a great job. You can't blame the centers, either. They are doing great consistently too....so our problem are the FORWARDS. I mean....Glen Rice sometimes can't shoot at all and barely gets any shots. He's too old. Posey is doing an OK job as well. He is getting more comfortable. Nachbar does well in garbage time. Terence Morris is all right... Eddie Griffin is a great shotblocker...but his offense just isn't always good. He relies on 3's and either makes them or misses every single one. We need a solid person. Hopefully he will develop. His inside game is all right but he only goes inside once a game. Usually he succeeds. Maurice Taylor looks too small...but sometimes his offense is great and makes his shots. But sometimes when he misses his shots, it looks too ugly. Maurice Taylor barely gets any rebounds. I hope he gets better soon. Thank God that our centers and guards have been playing well.

The only reason we won was no Ray Allen. We would have won by 3 points if Ray Allen played. But he didn't. :)

As opposed to the ball suddenly becoming enveloped in a black hole?

SLA, your points are fully understood. But who would know how the games would have turned out if the guards dribbled less and moved the ball more? I know there were times Rice was just flat slow to get himself an open shot or EG just clangged too many shots and the guards decided to take the shots themselves. And many occasions, Yao was just double-team or in bad position. [bold]But[/bold] I have rarely seen Rice couldn't pump the ball inside. And the same for JP. They played good team basketball.

    Sigh....

I start to think EG is actually da "PROJECT" for the Rox now. He just doesn't make the opponents work defensively because he keeps jacking up 3s. No inside game whatsoever. Well, I got to give him props for his D effort!

Of course EG is a project. He is only 20 years old which is the same age as Amare Stoudemire.

I saw the game, and I agree with
    Gene Peterson.

Remember, the last time we won a few
games, the Rockets thought that they
were the best in the world. They need
    to stay humble and hungry.

That's one of our big problems.

We get too high after our wins, but we
get too low after our loses.

Also, the Bucks had a bad shooting night.
If they would have hit their open shots
then the Rockets would have probably felt
the presure and those "easy shots" wouldn't
    have gone in as easy.

The main difference was no Ray Allen. They just beat the DALLAS MAVERICKS AT DALLAS. That's pretty impossible. They must have been very tired. Ray Allen is their best scorer. We were lucky. :) They are the 2nd highest scoring team in the NBA. I'm just glad we won.

The team that I want to win agaist is ORLANDO.

We already beat Miami -- they had a winning streak against us. But now Orlando has a streak
    against us too.

I don't remember the last time we beat Orlando.

The game was nothing but a showcase. However, I love to see JP getting more minutes game after game. And Yao finally took an open jumper. Just hope to see EG start building his inside offense. That could change the entire landscape of the team.

What's Maurice Taylor's status? The espn recap said his Achilles tightened and he was pulled from the game.

Yep. They seem to start free-stroking it
around the mid of the 3rd quarter.

It was a no presure game.

I'm so glad that Sam didn't get a career game
against us like so many other guards do.

By the way, I hope Rudy incorporates that
    into the Rockets' game.

I love it when Yao sets the high-pick and
then rolls to the top of the key and is
open for the 15-18 foot range.

I don't want Yao to become an outside
shooter, but at least show that as an
option if the defense gives it to you.

I didn't see this quote posted - very encouraging. Steve is the man.
