That's not funny. Wasn't Hakeem's broken eyesocket a career threatening injury.

It's official. It was posted on Rockets.com that Eddie will play tonight but Mo Taylor will start the game.

"Eddie Griffin met with the team prior to today's shootaround and apologized for his recent legal troubles. Griffin is expected to see action tonight although Maurice Taylor will replace him in the starting lineup."

Key to success tonight, take care of the business in the 1st half. The portland team is set for the playoff spot right now, and they wont fight us hard if we have nice double digit lead in the 3rd. Contain D.A. please, if he gets off along with Wallace and Wells , we are in trouble. Also Ming please stop showing respect to Sabonis, there is no need to front the guy, and put some moves on him, be careful with the ball, the old gun does know how to strip the ball, but that's probably it.

    28th! Derrrrrrr....me smart!

Sheed's gonna eat us up today, we don't have anyone that can guard him, and the only position they're short on, SF, we don't really have a consistent scorer there in Posey. We better see a lotta Rice tonight if he can knock the 3's down.

And shut up with whole Eddie/weed crap. I would bet money that at least half of the players in the NBA do it, and 99% have done it at least once. It's not a big friggin' deal. If it helps his game, I'm all for it! But then we saw what it did to Stoudamire..."to be blunt, Stoudamire has some chronic problems that need to be weeded out"

This is going to be a difficult game for us tonight. Portland in my opinion has the most athletically talented team in the NBA. However, they rely on to much individual talent and not enough team play which makes them sub-elite. Portland is going to come out strong tonight cause they want to gain home court advantage as well as keep the Lakers at bay.

For the Rockets to win this game tonight we are really going to have to:

    1. make the hustle plays and play solid defense.

    2. Get the ball out of Wallace's hands

    4. Hit the boards. We need our centers and power forwards to rebound well

    3. Go to Yao early. It's our best mismatch. If we get, Yao going early the Porland's defense will colapse. Once that happens Yao can kick out to our perimiter shooters. Dribble penitration from Francis or Mobely will also be easier cause no one will want to leave Yao open for an easy dunk or lay up.

    4. We have to keep Zack Randolph from contributing expecially on second chance opportunties. This guy is going to be a really good player someday.

    5. Reduce the turn overs. Keep an eye on this statistic.

Every game is important now, even though the Jailbirds are hurtin w/ Pippen, Randolph and Patterson out, they are still formidable w/ Wells and Wallace. Plus, don't forget that DA had 21 against us last time we played. The Rocks need this game and I see em playin well and pullin this one out as long as they go to Yao early and attack the boards.

Too bad we dont have the retro jerseys to help........Maybe Eddie will bring some stuff to help make it look like they're wearin em......anything helps.

Aww, isn't Mr. "Stop Posting Immediately" getting sensitive.
So it is alright for you to speak your piece while giving blanket censures to everyone else on the forum? Loser...

suns have a gimme in denver, the Rockets must win this game. Being 1 and a half back with 4 to play would be a tall order.
