I'm suprised that the people at LakersGround were so supportive, considering how much most Rockets fans can't stand the Lakers. :)

That Lakers site looks kind of cheesy, maybe I am just spoiled, but Clutchfans.net is the best I have seen.

    * sigh *

Clutch, you really are one mean sonnova bad motherfu**er aren't you?

I thought that the abscence of certain posters on this thread was a bit suspicious, but it never crossed my mind that it was all a prank.

    Clutch City lives on!

I'm so happy the site is not gone that I can't even get mad at you guys...

Really happy to still see everyone, EVERYTHING, still here.

Even though you scared the heck out of me, I'd like to also express my gratitude for this excellent site.

That was not funny at all...living overseas, clutchcity.net was my only way of getting rocket info...no radio, tv, newspapers here, (well none that have rock info)...and espn.com never came close to this site...

Blacked out on opening night. that has got to suck. (and embarrassing that the opener in the new stadium couldn't get sold out)

sometimes i wished i lived in Houston so i could watch all the games, but now i'm glad i don't. I was able to watch the game on TNT. anyways, i do feel for you guys who couldn't watch the game. so, i'll post highlights from the game into http://www.Yao-Ming.tv later tonight when i get home.

I agree with you on that one.

I haven't seen a Rockets game in over 3 years. Though I was able to check this website regularly so I did not lose complete sanity.

Damn this was a tough day

Thank god it has now ended on a good note!

and thanks to you Clutch for keeping me entertained!!

Well, a different moniker, but the same great content - especially the BBS! Still, I so fondly remember how great it was to say "Clutch City" in the salad days of the mid 90s. For what it's worth Clutch, it remains "Clutch City" on my favorites menu.

To hell with the Rockets brass (not the team)! You know, I'm waiting for Les' lapdog, err, "marketing guru" Tim to try and justify this, in one of his "hey, I feel your pain" diatribes - save it!

As much as the Mavs & Mark Cuban get on my nerves, they could've taught the Rockets a lesson in P.R. Did you see the Mavericks new hideous third jersey the other night in L.A.? Cuban got 3000 e-mails complaining about it, and he pulled it - for good after being worn only once. Contrast that with Tim's spiel about "Houston" being left off the road jerseys..."well, can't change it now...NBA rules...maybe a third jersey down the road...focus groups" - BLAH-BLAH-BLAH!!

Hey Les, while you're playing with that new gift from the citizens of Harris County, listen to your fans once in a while. In the future, try not to deprive them of something, that in truth actually came from the Houston Chronicle and (now defunct) Houston Post in the first place. "Clutch City" belongs to Rockets fans, not Les's and David Stern's coffers.

    what are you talking about??

the game was only blacked out for the first quarter till someone fixed the problem.

    the game was sold out.

geez, do you actually read the threads around here...or are you just making this up as you go along?
