Stop All The Clocks W. H. Auden Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, Silence the pianos and with muffled drum Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come. Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead, Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves, Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves. He was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest, My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now: put out every one; Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun; Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood. For nothing now can ever come to any good. It seemed suitable. Thanks so much for all the work you've put into the site over the years, Clutch (and crew).
Thanks Clutch, for all the memories, all the info, and all the special times, like winning the number one draft, getting yao ming... this would have been a good season together... thanks....
Gutter Snipe inspired me..... And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming. And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor Shall be lifted---nevermore!
Young Men are delicious, Healthy, virile and strong, With smooth skin, a firm fleshy arse, And hair growing where it belongs. Somewhere between adolescence and a mid-life crisis, Young Men are out there looking for fun, Throughout the passage of time the boy still exists, In the Young Man, who's another woman's son. Young Men are extremely sensitive, And resent being referred to as boys, They consider themselves quite mature, Despite a continuing passion for toys, As yet uncorrupted by the realities of life, Hopefully Young Men will learn from their mistakes, And not become negative or disillusioned, To run without handicap in the Manhood Stakes. Young Men don't make me feel maternal, They have far too much Testosterone for that. I sit poised to strike and observe them, Like mice being stalked by a cat. Oh yes, they'd make wonderful playmates, Packages of tireless energy to be undone, But guilt overwhelms me when I have thoughts of With a woman of my own age's son. Hey, I never said I was a poetry scout.
Last night was not a good one for me, and then I wake up to this! I hope and pray that this is either some trick or it is a temporary thing. This site has been the best one I have ever seen on the Net. Clutch cannot be thanked enough by us for all his hard work that he has done here. Obviously, this site has been a big part of my life for the last 2+ years, but I guess I will find something to fill the gap, but damn, it is going to be hard.
Everyone loves the Rockets Victory! It was down for a few mintues for me. Then I waited, a few minutes later a got on. No big deal.
No dude, read this: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/announcement.php?s=&forumid=9 Apparently this site is gonna go away permanently.
unbelievable, this is the best rockets site on the net. It's truly a shame that it's shutting down. I'm still holding out hope that it won't. I don't know what else to say except Thanks Clutch for running this great site for all those years.
Feeling sad, thus thoughtful... Time takes a moment But always returns Like eagles resting their wings To continue life RR
I got money this a new domain, nothing more. Read the dates -- Clutchcity.net 99-2003 -- I know Clutchcity has been around longer than that. We're moving servers, you can put the house on it (but don't blame me if you lose it)
I think Clutch got shut down. This site just got too popular, and the NBA was probably seeing the tip jar as "profits"... Of course, if Clutch IS shutting the site down on his own free will, I wouldn't blame him one bit. This site is way too much work for a guy to run when he also has a full time job and a family. Heck, maybe the NBA "bought him out" and he made a nice little profit. The only regret I personally have is that we never got to see the new red color scheme. It would be worth it, even for a day... Like I said before Clutch, if I had even half the passion for anything that you do for this site, I'd probably be a millionaire or something...Peace...
That's how I see it. I'm sure Clutch has had numerous offers to buy the site and make it commercial over the years. If Napster can make a comeback as an attempt to make money, surely a site as popular as this one would have investors lined up at the door to take it over.
Clutch's announcement says, "(10-31-2003 until 12-01-2003)", so it doesn't seem like a permanent shut down. Well, I hope it's not a permanent shut down. I have really come to love this site.....Thanks Clutch, all the Clutch Crew and all of the poster here.
I....I'm speachless.... I can't believe it! say it ain't so Clutch!!!! But if it is.... Thanks so much for four great internet years!
What? Why? If it's the NBA then they deserve to die a slow death, ths league is just killing its fan bae if that is true. Trust me, if the NBA has anything to do with this then they can forget me supporting anything of their's again. Is there a way that the BBS can stay up?
that 12-1-03 date doesnt mean anything. Clutch had to put a date in the field. That just means the message will be displayed at the top until 12-01-03, which this forum might not be around for that long.
