http://www.clutchfans.net/news/1476/thumbs_up_on_rockets_draft_day_moves/ Clutch's comments on the draft day moves:
Well, not really abt his coverage of this draft. I've been reading his articles for more than 5 yrs but I've yet to find one that's as indepth/informative/well written as this one. Considering he's a professional jounalist and clutch is just a fan, a huge one maybe, but still, you get the picture.
Whether the draft picks pan out or not in the future,I give props to DM for trying to make things better even if passing up on Batum or Arthur hurts.
son's wedding. saleem, come on dude. He is the rockets beat writer. He travels with them on away games and is always at the scorer's table. you're making a joke,,,right...like he's the company man or sumpin? right. if I remember correctly, Jonathan has always been one of the nicest pro guys towards Clutch moving into their scene.
im not impressed... but then this is probably the best this guy could get us with our draft position...
It was Brandon Roy in 06, Rush this year. Who's the guy the Blazers picked that we were going after in 07? They picked Greg Oden last year right?
k. sorry. I know Clutch likes to write about more than what Feigen writes, but imo, Feigen is still the best rox writer (ever)...esp now that he has a blog.
Rudy Fernadez at 22. They got that pick because they had a trade exception and was willing and able to eat the remainder of James Jones' salary and I believe paid $3 million, too. Can't say I am too upset about this year... Rush was gone at 13, and if he wasn't there are plenty more teams between 13 and 25 that would have gotten him. In fact, Indiana (the team Portland traded Rush to) had the 17th pick, too. But the other two were definite ****-blocks.
heeheehee Loved the Santa Anna reference. Its really not fair to compare Clutch or Jeff's writing to the guys at the Chron, especially Feigen, he tries hard but he just isnt as talented a writer as our guys are. the only beat writer that even comes close is Fritz.
