Jennings kinda reminds me a little bit of an longer Steve Francis for some reason.

Go to the about the 3min mark for Francis:

You're comparing a top 10 shooting guard that can potentially put us over the top to a 1-dimensional 6th man who had a career year. And even with that his long-term future in this league is uncertain especially outside of the Rockets organization. And I'm a big Wafer fan by the way.

As for Jason Richardson his skills and talent are undeniable and I love his game but the guys inconsistent and dissapears way too much. It's also what stops him from being considered an elite superstar. He may look all-world one night and drop in 35 points and the next game he'll give you 8. Not exactly what we're looking for.

Longer Steve Francis??? Jennings is like 3-4 inches shorter & much lighter than Francis. Jennings and Francis do have similarities, both explosive athletes who lack basketball IQ.

Jennings would not be a good fit chemistry wise, IMO. Not a Morey player, too selfish, and inconsistent, especially on D.

    Are you serious?

    Top 10

    Kobe
    Dwade
    Roy
    joe Johnson
    Manu
    Ray Allen
    paul Pierce
    Carter
    Redd
    Ben Gordon
    Rip Hamiliton

^those guys would easily go ahead of Martin any day. And if Tracy comes back to anything like his old self then he would still be better than Martin.

I would definitely put Kevin Martin ahead of Redd, Gordon, Rip and an old Ray Allen. Kevin Martin will be a perfect fit on this team but a pipedream.

    Are you being serious dude???

Out of all that you got that, in the other posters opinion he may be top 10 in the league!

He may not be top 10, I'd say at least to 15 if not top 20 but most of the guys on your list have been injured and are on the decline. I too love Von but he can't even sniff the top 20, are you kidding, he's not even a starter!!! WTF????

LOL I'm done debating with you. There's no way in hell any GM takes Michael Redd coming off a serious ACL/MCL injury, an over the hill Ray Allen, a 31 year old Manu Ginobili also showing signs of wear, an aging Vince Carter, a shorter inconsistent Ben Gordon or a declining Rip Hamilton over a 26 year old Kevin Martin who's just entering his PRIME. Just admit you don't like Kevin Martin because you're coming off as a fool.

Redd is a better shooter and scorer overall.

Gordon actually got his team in the playoffs and was a monster against Boston. Gordon is one of the best shooters today and was listed as one of the best shooters all time by some. He's 6'2 SG that shoots lights-out. No 6'2 SG would survive in the league if he wasn't good.

Ray Allen is one of the probably the best shooter today and probably one of the best all time. He was big in the series against the Bulls too and is still one of the leagues most efficient SGs today (just ask Jeff Van Gundy). Lets not forget too that he plays with Paul and KG so his numbers are down.

Rip won a title with the Pistons and got his team to the playoff to unlike Martin again. He didn't have his best season last year but it was probably because A.I. was there and took his starting spot for some part of the season making Rip come off the bench.

Martin hasn't done **** but put up some decent numbers and didn't make his team any better by never getting to the playoff with him there. BTW, John Salmons, an unknown for all of his most of his career had a break out year with the Kings when Martin was out. What does that say?

On that note, I would take Ray Allen for Tracy and over Martin anyday.

There is a reason why the Kings suck ass and it's because they're building around their franchise player which is Kevin Martin. Big Mistake.

You aren't making any sense at all. None. Martin is just one piece of the rebuilding equation. This may come as a surprise to you but it generally takes more than just one piece to turn around a crumbling franchise. Martin, at $10-13M per year and what he's capable of doing, is shaping up to be an ideal complimentary star should the Kings ever find somebody to pair him up with. The "plan" obviously was to land the #1 pick and let that guy be Blake Griffin. Luckily, tanking isn't rewarded in this league so they will have to make other plans. But to sit here and act like Martin isn't one of the best young guards and a top 10 SG in this league is beyond idiotic.

    ITS BRANDON JENNINGS.

    prove me wrong otherwise.

question is: do we gamble and see if he falls to 11 or 12 to Nets and Bobcats or do we play the much safer route and try to nab Golden State or Minnesota's pick???

Martin only earns 10 m. He will be a great 2nd option. Plus, he doesn't hold the ball a lot. He will be a great fit for Adelman's system.

Getting back on topic :D, Rubio, of all the lottery PGs in the upcoming draft, would be the best fit on this current Rockets' team.

Best basketball IQ by far, and is a pure point who could play alongside Brooks (if he gained some weight) in spurts. Jennings or Teague would be fallback choices.

I'm the fool. Would Morey take Martin over Manu when we are in a win now mode and when Martin hasn't done anything in the playoffs. Manu is proven in the playoffs and has rings unlike Martin. Martin is a high volume shooter that is less efficient that Von Wafer! Martin shot 42% percent from the field compared to Wafer's 44%. I don't wanna even go over what the other guys on the list shot compared to him. Martin is know as one of the most overrated players in the league. He isn't nothing special.

brooks is an SG in PGs body........we have said this about 12312412 times.

rubio would we awesome. however unless we get the 2nd pick which may come at a very heavy price we arent going to get him in any circumstances. Sacramento will never let him go past them at 4

For everyone clamoring for Brandon Jennings, please explain to me the difference between him and Sebastian Telfair, Stephon Marbury, and our beloved Steve Francis? Their style of iso basketball(dribble, dribble, dribble...) simply doesn't work in todays NBA.
