I know we're all frustrated as am I but this is a good deal. Might as well use the $1.5 million we have left to get a useful player down the road. This doesn't hurt anyone but Les' pocket, albeit that is only ever so slightly.
no way i was had a giggle at his name today looking at the draft board, if he actually play's next season i would like to see how they pronounce his name.
I just would like to know how many players do we have at overseas... It seems that every year we selected an Euro player and then keep waiting for them to grow up for a loooong time
Hey, as one of Morey's few remaining fans here on CF, I can say, having so many PFs is outright hilarious!
What's interesting about this guy is that he's actually an early-entry draftee; meaning he put his name into this draft purposefully hoping to get drafted, unlike the 22 year old automatically eligible guys who have absolutely no inclination to ever come over (Fran Vasquez, Frederick Weis). Obviously the odds are very long for him to ever turn into anything; it seems like he's a pure hustle guy who's a fantastic rebounder but not athletic or big enough to play center in the league, yet doesn't have a jumpshot so he has no stretch 5 potential. Still, it's good to know that he'll most likely fail because he's not good enough, rather than he never had any intention of playing in the NBA in the first place.
I had my eyes on him pre-draft. At #53 he's a good value. Not only he's a great rebounder(better than our improved DMo already), but also his translated stats is much better than DMo. He needs to improve his defense though.
We're trying to replicate our 98 draft so might as well draft a turkish PF. Hey, the Texans have a fetish for tight ends, Morey has a fetish for 6'9 forwards.
Hate to burst any bubbles but Morey's signed for like the next 5 years or so... ... he ain't going anywheres. This Furkan Alademir guy is an obvious Euro-stash. He will probably be traded in the future like that other foreign player Lior Eliyahu was...
