Clutch - - how long before Dwight's blight is out of Oh!lando? Next week or September? February? July '13? How long can they realistically wait to play their hand?
I still do agree that Howard is the guy we need to grab if we can, but Turner and Williams would be intriguing. If Houston did get Lin (without the Knicks matching), Turner and Williams would be good fits at the 2 or 3. I could see the T-wolves wanting K-Mart and Scola for Williams salary filler. You would likely also need to move Parsons and another one of our young forwards, but I think you could do worse than Lin (24), Turner (24) and Williams (21) to start the rebuilding process at the 1, 2 and 3.
Derrick Williams is another four masquerading as a SF. And he's also mediocre. Perfect, where do we sign?
Dammit, Clutch, we are the first to "break" the Courtney Lee angle on the Asik offer sheet on our podcast, and you can't even bring yourself to mention it (i.e., our breaking it) on the air?!?!?! Otherwise, great interview as always. Seriously, though, if there's one criticism of Clutch/Dave when he's on the air, it's that he doesn't promote the site enough. Dave, IT'S YOUR BUSINESS! Promote it! I know you feel "dirty" doing it, but you really should. You're not being full of yourself to do so. You WANT to attract more Rockets fans to the site. You're too modest, man. (Btw, people, I've said all this to his face, as well. Just want to get it out there so that others--if they agree--can back me up and get him to help himself out some more.)
Bima, good work on the call on CLee but I don't think for a minute that Morey hadn't already figured that out. And I would think you knew Morey already had it figured out yourself. Just because Morey didn't say it earlier didn't mean he didn't know. They have so much software and the ability to iterate scenarios, they knew before they made the offer to Asik what they were going to have to do. But it was nice of you to bring that to public attention when they hadn't done it. Also, I would be willing to bet they discussed with Lee's agent bringing him back if a trade for Dwight occurs. Lee knows the possibility of Dwight coming here. Unless someone blows him away with a contract offer, I would think he waits a little bit until it becomes more obvious which direction Dwight is headed.
