    It's not that simple.

I guess I can kind of get the point if you're talking about defense -- though I sincerely doubt Amare's defense is that much better, if at all, than Bosh's.. considering Amare has no defense. ;)

To me, they're both PFs and both would be out of position at the C spot.. and neither should ever set foot on the court at SF.

I have serious doubts that the Lakers would improve with a Bynum4Bosh change. Bynum-Pau-Lamar is a perfect trio. A 5, a 4, and a 4-5. Bynum gives them a very important inside presence, and the possibility of unite him with Gasol, combining a unique sum of size, pounds and length around the league. Off the bench they have Odom (recently resigned), who is also a great fit next to Gasol (or Bynum), but not next to Bosh.

If you trade Bynum for Bosh your inside rotation is Pau-Bosh-Odom... in fact 3 PFs. Bosh is a great offensive player but we all know that his greatest strength is not inside powerness/toughness. The would descend their defensive level. Plus Bosh is a palyer who needs balls and responsability in the offense, a point that could affect the chemistry and even Gasol's level.

The only reason why I see them accepting that trade are Bynum injuries... the same reason why Toronto could refuse to do it.

Could happen, sure, but not so sure that the trade improves the Lakers.

And you know, who says powerness refers to... power.

Brooks/Rubio? I know Martin isn't going to stop anyone either, but at least he can look Kobe in the eye while he's getting torched.

Kyle Lowry doesn't provide a good contrast?

I love Kyle, Rubio is going to be better, IMO.

The difference is that we don't have to give up anything to retain Lowry.

Minnesota wants a lot for Rubio.

Rubio isn't as strong as Lowry and will probably never be. Lowry has the ability to bully the opposition and is a phenomanal rebounder, all of which Brooks is not.

IMO, Rubio starting with Brooks off the bench is infinitely better than Brooks starting and Lowry backing up. I love Brooks as a player, but he's still better suited as a 6th man if you don't have a true distributor at another position(i.e. T-Mac, Roy, Pippen, Hill type players)

Rubio is a legitimate 6'4"......you could play him and Brooks together more often....

Lowry is a nice PG...but Rubio is special, IMO.
