now there is no reason for a senior member to pick on a member. you should be picking on junior members!

Since you guys are looking to flame a Junior member, here I am! Now let me say something really stupid. . .Yao ming is really 6'8"! Oh crap, wait! that's a whole other (and completely useless) thread. By the way. . .I live in Wyoming.
Garnett to Houston is fun to talk about but the reality of the matter is Garnett want's to stay in Minnesota and Timberwolves still want him. Despite what has been put on this board its the reality of the situation. I myself couldn't imagine why Minnesota would trade one of the best players in the game right now to Houston for a couple of guys who aren't even near his level. Closest would most likely be Griffin but Houston doesn't want to give him up. And most of you don't either. Garnett isn't coming to Houston. "Look for the Timberwolves and Kevin Garnett to begin discussing a new four-year contract this summer. Garnett, 26, has two years left on his $126 million, six-year contract. He will be paid $25.2 million next season and $28 million the following season. NBA rules allow the Wolves and Garnett to negotiate a new deal as early as this summer. People who know say the Wolves want to re-sign Garnett, and Garnett wants to remain in Minnesota rather than go elsewhere as a free agent. Look for his new deal to be worth about $75 million over four years." Pioneer Press
I believe Garnett can be had. Garnett is a great player. Maybe the best in the NBA. But... he is locked in with a huge salary. Minnesota cannot improve by signing free agents due to this obligation. Normally a team with such a great player would look to improve through the draft, but obviously they have no picks so cannot do this. They also have very little besides Wally to trade. Maybe the only way for Minnesota to improve is to blow up the core. Obviously if they traded Garnett they would get some nice pieces and some picks. They might see it as addition as subtraction. We have some picks, and some nice players who could go. If Minnesota becomes serious about moving KG I'm pretty sure we could get it done. You dont think Minnesota would consider a EG, #1, #15, Future picks.
You dont think Minnesota would consider a EG, #1, #15, Future picks. No, not when you factor in the fact that Houtson would have to send about $19M in additional salary along with EG to make the deal work under the cap. That makes the deal very unattractive to the TWolves.
WyoRox, A compliment...... Very nice for your eighth post!!! A good sense of humor is always welcome.
aelliot, I know there would have to be accopanying salaries, but I posted the Griffin as picks part as the core of the deal. I would think some of the salaries would come from either Rice+? or another team.
I thought that there might have been something going on between Minnesota and Houston before, but after reading Clutch's post about his communication with a Minnesota writer, I seriously doubt it. I always thought that the odds were small, and I definitely do not think that Clutch would come out and flat-out lie about what someone told him. There might be some talk between the two teams, but I bet that both sides are disgusted after hearing what the other team wants.
How about Mo Taylor, the #1 and Rice we can throw in a future 1st rounder too. I really love Eddie Griffin and i would hate to see him Go. I would love to see this line up in Houston next year Francis Cat Garnett Griffin Cato
