I was cleaning out some old boxes in my closet when I found this: Did anyone ever own this crappy piece of rockets memorabilia? I remember borrowing my mom's credit card to order this back in 1999 off nba.com. I was excited because I thought it was filled with "live calls" and "thrilling moments" when in reality it was loaded with a bunch of crappy arena music (like "we are the champions" and kris kross' "jump) and only a few live calls. I just remember that NBA.com didnt have track listing, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it. Anyways I filtered out the crap and shared some of the "live calls" on the CD. Whoa, just heard the 1981 clip...Bill Worrell has been calling Rockets games for over THIRTY YEARS?! Oh my gosh! Why isn't this man in the Hall of Fame? Joe Tait, Johnny Most, Chick Hearn...Bill should join them! Does the voting committee have some sort of vendetta against Houston basketball?! It would explain why Guy Lewis still isn't in there (Clyde Drexler, to his credit, did bring up that huge oversight in his own induction speech). I mean, I knew he called Phi Slama Jama games thanks to the "Hakeem the Dream" video, but wow! ...Okay, enough ranting. Thank you so much for this find, man!
