    Game Summary:

T-Mac and Melo put on a show.
Remembering what happened to them in Denver at the end of last season , the Rockets came out of the gates with a vengeance. Tracy McGrady got things started by connecting on two free throw attempts and then getting a steal and a fast break 360 Dunk to give the Rockets an early 4-0 lead over the Nuggets. Allen Iverson looked like he would have an easy lay-up to put the Nuggets on the board -but McGrady came out of nowhere to reject his shot. T-Mac was rewarded for his defensive efforts when he knocked down a jumper coming off a beautiful pass from Rafer Alston. Following a Yao Ming blocked shot McGrady scored again on the next Rockets possession to give the Rockets an 8-0 lead due to an 8-0 run by McGrady himself. The Nuggets finally got on the board when Chucky Atkins made a jumper to put the score to 8-2. After that Carmelo Anthony absolutely caught fire and led his team back into the game with 10 first quarter points. Both Melo and McGrady put on a show . T-Mac finished the quarter with 14 points. Luis Scola made his season debut and scored 4 first quarter points as well. The Rockets held a slight edge after one, 32,30

Nuggets pull ahead due to play of Carmelo and K-Mart.
With T-Mac and Yao getting a breather, The Nuggets came out in the second quarter on fire and went on a quick 8-0 run to take a 38-32 lead over the Rockets. Rookie forward Michael Beasley, Carl Landry, and Luis Scola brought the Rockets back into the game and took a 42-40 lead. The Nuggets then went on another run to go up 53-42 due to the stellar bench play of Kenyon Martin who scored 10 points in the quarter and Carmelo Anthony who scored 10 more in the 2nd to bring his game total to 20 at the half. Tracy McGrady did not have a good quarter but he did manage to score 7 points in the quarter including a buzzer beating 3 pointer to cut the Nuggets lead to single digits. At the half, Denver leads Houston 67,59

Niko Nikos Top performers at the half.

    Denver Nuggets

    Carmelo Anthony- 20 Pts, 9/11 FG, 2/2 FT, 5 Reb, 2 Ast

    Tracy McGrady- 21 Pts, 9/15 FG, 1/1 3 PT FG, 2/2 FT, 5 Ast, 3 Stl, 1 Blk

    Nuggets begin to pull away
Just like the first Quarter, the Rockets came out from Half-Time absolutely scorching, led by quick 8 points from Tracy McGrady, the Rockets came back and took the lead 73-71 on a 14-4 run to begin the quarter. However, the Nuggets once again went on a run and held the Rockets to just 10 more points in the quarter. T-Mac pushed his assist total to 10 as the 3rd Quarter ended with a beautiful pass to Josh Smith who slammed it home to pull the Rockets to within single digits. At the end of the third, Denver leads Houston 91-83

Beasley? More like Beastley, unlikely hero
The Rockets started out the 4th Quarter trading buckets with the Nuggets and ended up pulling within 4 at 104-108 but the Nuggets when on a 6-0 run to put the score at 114-104 when Michael Beasley entered the game. Beasley absolutely dominated the Nuggets by scoring 15 4th quarter points and led the Rockets back into the game 120-121, Denver.
The Score is 120-121, 10 Seconds left, Rockets ball. Francis, Scola,Beasley,McGrady, and Chuck Hayes take the floor for the Rockets. Anthony, Atkins,Iverson,Camby, and Nene for the Nuggets.
Francis dribbles around the top of the Key, hits McGrady on the wing, 7 seconds left on the clock, McGrady passes the ball to Beasley, Beasley makes a beautiful pass to a open Luis Scola, Scola goes up but no it is blocked by Nene but wait a minute Chuck Hayes gets the ball back and puts it up as time expires..the ball is on the rim,

    Bounce
    Bounce
    Bounce
Drops through the net…ROCKETS WIN ROCKETS WIN!...122-121..Chuck Hayes with his only basket of the game and by far the biggest Rockets basket that he has scored for the Rockets during his career. Final Score, 122,-121

If Tmac played this good in real life, nobody here will want to trade him! :D
So, Tmac is running for MVP!

So, you should post about the Clutchfans reaction to every game, :D that would be interesting, hahaha, but I think its too much to add them, since you already doing the press conference, and the ESPN reports, and the summary for each quarter.

I dont know why, but I cant stop reading, its not that I love this thread, but I like reading it, hehe, dont know why?

Tracy McGrady Interview before the Jazz Game

Reporter: Tracy, what is your feeling going into tonights game against a Jazz team who has had your number lately?

Tracy: Ever since I walked off the court in game 6 of last year's playoffs, I had this day marked on my calender. Our team is ready to go in there and do what we need to do to get a win.

Reporter:: What do you think of the recent accusation of the Jazz of former Rocket forward Shane Battier?

Tracy:: Shane is a great defensive player who plays hard every night. I am just happy that I played with him for 2 years in which I have learned most of his tendencies and he knows that as well.

Reporter: You have any predictions for tonights game?

Tracy:: Not a prediction but a guarantee, I am scoring 50 tonight and we are going to get our revenge on Utah by running them right out of their own building!

Reporter:Confident words from the determined superstar. We will see what happens later tonight. We now take you back to the FOX 13 studios in Houston,Texas.

tmac2therack, I have one question. Does T-Mac ever play point forward in your simulation?

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?

    Sometimes you want to go

    Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our simulations are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
    Your game.

You wanna go where people know,
    people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
    your name.

We Want Steve. Put Steve Francis in the Rotation. And Beasely seems to be the steal of the draft. Instead of the 16th pick he should've been I don't know like the 2nd overall pick.

    Awesome thread BTW.

Damn it, we better beat the Jazz. They don't even have Deron anymore right? (His 5 year $13 mil contract was a bit too much for them apparently)

So you play 8min quarters and score 120+? Not cool. I hope it's just your tendency but I've always hated sports simulations in which you can't get a realistic score. (I remember in Live 06, I had two games where I kept the CPU under 100 points. Two games)

So, is it safe to assume that this guy is gonna have the Rockets go 82-0? I mean, reality CLEARLY isn't a priority here.....nor is sanity for that matter.

This is a little too in depth for my tastes, but myself and two friends recently went through 10 years of the Association mode using the Rockets. We didn't play the games though, we just did all the managing (scouting prospects, drafting said prospects, arranging trades, developing players, etc.). The only time we played was if a game 7 came around in the playoffs.

We had a rule that we were going to win as many championships as we could, but in the last season of the 10 year span (the '17-'18 season) we had to be back under the cap AND win a playoff series. This was tough since we were about 55 million over in year 7, but we eventually got back under and won a series (but lost in the second round). We won 7 of the 10 possible championships along the way.

The one player we kept and developed the whole way through was Donte Greene, and by the end he was an absolute beast. Something like 24 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks on 49% FG, 45% 3's, and 88% FT's. He won a couple of our Finals MVPs.

Deron Williams most of the others.

First of all, Moes' post was hilarious.

Second, what's up w/ Yao's suckiness this season? Post-Olympic fatigue?

Third, this thread is awesome. Now that we have a beastly Beasley and J-Smoove, I would be looking to deal some combo of Scola, Landry, Hayes, Novak, for a good PG. Get 'r done tmac2therack.
