Mine is RC_Cola. As I've said in previous threads though, I won't be able to play online anytime soon...probably another month or so. Only game I have right now is Resistance.
Not quite a "personality" on the board, but I've been around for more than a couple years. Just started playing video games since I graduated from UT Austin. I've got Madden 08, Resistance, and Warhawk...and Puzzle Fighter HD! paolojackson
I doubt I have anything anyone else here has. the only PS3 game I have is Oblivion, and I still play some 2K7, but havent played it online. Maybe this will come in handy when Home comes out next month, or when 2K8 comes out. TheDude2K btw...codell, was your PSN a joke? I was gonna add ya, but couldnt tell if you were being facetious.
Unfortunately, I don't think Home will come out next month. The pessimist inside me says it will probably be pushed back to 08. The beta may go public in the next month or two though. And I hope every PS3 owner has at least played Oblivion (either on the PS3 or on the 360/PC). You shouldn't be alone there...although there's not really anything you can do with other people who have the game. BTW, I still need to sit down and start adding people from the BBS. I've said that 2 or 3 times now, but I will really do it....some day.
the public beta started last month...right? the initial beta was for 15K back in like April, then the public beta with 50K was supposed to start last month. Did that not happen? Ive been reading up on PS3 stuff over at the playstation3 forums ( http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board?board.id=ps3home )
I think they're slightly behind schedule, or that is the impression I'm getting. From an interview with the VP of SCEWWS done today: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=28598 He might be full of it though (hopefully not given his position). Edit: Or maybe this interview was done some time ago (like E3 in July), which happens from time to time. But I would think that would have been noted.
naw, I think you be correct. I went and read the whole interview, and the first question references the Edinburgh Interactive Festival, which was last month. (August 12-14) It looks like to me they intend on rolling it out like gmail, start with a group of users and have them send invites to friends that would use the service. I'll say one thing tho....that would be a bad move imo since if you read around on the ps3 forums the interest level has apparently peaked and is on the downslope (if you take forum posts at face value) people are starting to moderate their interest...Ive read quite a bit of "it probably aint gonna be as good as it sounds" I think it has possibilities.
Bump? I just got the 60GB PS3... I've had a new TV for awhile but no movie player and I would like the PS2 hardware backwards compatibility, so I made the plunge! So far I've joined the ClutchFans Folding@Home team and hosted(since I couldn't freaking join any existing games for some reason) a game of WarHawk... that was good fun, even though I'm terrible at it....
