EG is worth a lot more than PJ... a first and second plus expirings. Nothing wrong with that contract.
Defense has been awful since the winning streak ended. I don't know if its because of the constant guys being in and out of the lineup and the lack of continuity or they are just bad defensive players.
Listening now This is an awesome platform and discussion. Love what you guys are doing! Love how everyone on the discussion is the representation of Rockets twitter Sucks that Clutch is having technical difficulties
Gawt damn is Silas listening to this?!?! If not he needs to tap the f in right now. They are nailing these points.
JVG was on the radio 2-3 weeks ago and he spoke of how it might be a mistake to just thrust Green into the starting lineup right away.
His lineups and rotation imply desperation to win, frankly speaking. If we are truly tanking, our rookies wouldn't be sitting on 25 minutes in a blowout loss.
I mean, why else would you stick with KPJ at the point - its clear it's not the right position for him. The key benefit is really to get that top 5 pick. Could it be that KPJ at the point is a Stone decision?
It is possible that Stone has told Silas they want to start Porter. Some GM’s (actually now a lot) will step in and tell their coach to play a particular player but seldom is a coach told to tank. The last time I know a coach was told to rank was when Carlisle accidentally said Cuban and Nelson told him to not play his best players. The Mavs ended up with Luka. I will say that Silas has been a big supporter of Porter and has called him an elite talent. So I suspect that Silas wants to start Porter.
I like the Brett Brown comp on how we should handle Silas, unless if there is clear proof Silas is holding back the development of our young guys (which is possible at this point!)
Well I hope they stick with it because it's going to get us a very nice pick and this team clearly needs more talent especially given that Wood & Gordon are gone. This team looks like it has one potential big time star, and two possible very good players in sengun and christopher, a big question mark in kpj, and some current and future role players. We're half way through this season, so might as well continue until the end and get that pick and make winning 41 games the goal the following season.
This is a fun listen while I work on house projects. The technical difficulties have had me laughing a few times, too.
I don't get the big deal about not getting Jalen Green 5 or 6 extra garbage time minutes on back 2 back nights Who cares if Daeshan Nix plays then. If that's what's going to make or break Green then, man, life is random as **** and there's no point discussing any of this
