boston has had their issues with injuries etc. Everyone is back now for the playoff stretch. Doesn't dispel the legit talent they have there. And how good they've been for the last couple of years. They'll be in the playoffs still and if they are a bottom seed I wouldn't want to be philly or the bucks Okc didn't have any significant assets collected until they traded away pg13. It all started with the boatload of picks they got for him. And then Tilman's dumbass gave them more. KD left. He didn't get them any assets.
There's no cap space. We're still over the cap this summer. We were 30M over this year and Dipo makes 21 M. The swap is basically nothing.
I told you the value - every team in the NBA knows Victor wanted to goto Miami - the Rockets took what they valued the most. That’s how a good negotiator works. LeVert isn’t ascending young player - he’s a younger worse version of Dipo - y’all really need to look at stats vs listening to media hype
This the same faith you had and how wrong you would have been in the NY vs Hou record post harden trade this year?
KD left, they started breaking the team down and traded for Ibaka for Dipo...that’s the start of the pick collecting ... then Anthony and PG13 and WB
Good negotiation means getting a negotiated agreement that is better than your alternatives. The rockets needed to hold Harden until they got a better return if that’s all they could get. Brooklyn was always going to be a buyer for Harden. They panicked and got 50 cents on the dollar, and the player they got back relative to alternatives ended up having zero value. Sorry man but that’s not good enough
The Rockets didn’t panic - they were forced - if you hold on to Harden til the deadline guess what, we are not getting any big name free agents signing here as long as Stone is in charge.
No you are not understanding how players now control how much a asset they are. When a player can tell the whole market I only want to go (Miami) and I’m singing there this summer - it kills the market and forces you to only negotiate with Miami who has the upper hand because they going to get the player regardless.
no you're not understanding what actual assets are. You were trying to say okc stockpiled assets for years when they haven't. It started with pg13 and their boatload of picks they got for him. now you're going on about something else
I get that there is a systemic problem. But you need to play hardball and protect the fans and the franchise. Or in Dipo’s case, don’t freaking trade fir him in the first place!
We can’t speak on that until all the picks / trades play out. Just like it took multiple moves to end up with a JH type of player or maybe pick turns into a Hakeem level player. to try and judge this season is just a knee jerk reaction
Protect the fans? So you rather remain below mediocre than bad for a few seasons? Why? If you have no chance of putting a team together that’s in top 4 of West - and you have chances to draft top 4 in draft you never pass up that chance
I am president of the tank train. I think u are misunderstanding the point I am making. Let’s respectively agree to disagree.
And one last thing: I wouldn’t let this organization barrow my car keys, let alone draft players to set us up for a rebuild.
make the playoffs that's what i'm looking at considering we've had gaps in history where we sucked (yes it's true) we'll never been as bad as the knicks
99ers know everything about Rockets history, and know that the rockets have sucked and won the lottery and then didn't suck Also all 99ers know we'll never suck as bad as the Knicks historically
