+1. ‘What’ has gotten really annoying with all his big talk about the Grizzlies and also kicking us Rockets fans while we’ve been down lately. That said, while I enjoyed watching the craziness of what happened in that game, I still want the Grizzlies to win the series. They’re a much more likable team than Flop City even though our resident Grizz fan isn’t very likable lately. Hope they come back with a vengeance.
gotta love TA: Tony Allen @aa000G9 Thas on me grizz nation I didn't get the stop when I needed it for my team " but I will bounce back" believe that" cause I believe
Holy heck! I turned it off in the first half and checked the score midway through the 3rd. Clipper stars are all in the negative +/-! How the heck did Memphis blow this?
I think Memphis just had their Mavericks - Brandon Roy moment. Should be interesting to see how they come back
Well, he scored over CP3 on the play before. It's pretty hard to beat a defender completely on a last possession. He got to a spot and got a better look than Durant. Durant's shot rolled in but Rudy Gay's didn't. Durant even admitted he thought his shot was off to beat Dallas in Game 1.
Weird. Gay got the ball slightly knocked loose, then Kenyon was all over Gay and Gay had to shoot leaning back to prevent a block. How is that a good look? Gay's shot did not "roll in" because it barely hit the front of the rim. It had 0% chance to "roll in" because it never made it far enough to roll in, because Kenyon was all over him.
That last play was terribly set up. The main problems with it was that Gay's shaky handles caused him to be too mechanical. So the moment definitely got the best of Gay. Kenyon Martin had no business guarding Gay, Rudy allowed him into the play by being too mechanical. Gay could have crossed him over and he'd have been left in the dust, but Gay went the simplistic route and it cost him.
Also, something else about that last play: when Rudy drove for the basket and Chris Paul leaned in, OJ should have immediately cut to the basket. Rudy would have passed it to Mayo, Mayo would have scored or got fouled. But as it happened, OJ was a spectator on the play just like everybody else and when Paul closed off the midrange shot Rudy had to drive in deeper than he really wanted to which gave Kenyon a chance to recover. It was just an all around bad play.
anyone think the grizz should have kept battier? i think he matches up better against the clips than tony allen.
