This just doesn't make sense for Memphis (because of all the reasons already given, getting rid of Gasol to clear capspace, and already having some nice bigs, and randolph sucking).

I believe that if you are as bad as Memphis, you should really rebuild, not getting a scrub like randolph. What does he do for them this year, get a little more wins (but not enough to make the play-offs) and as a result getting them a lower draft pick. And he eats their salary cap.

Just doesn't make sense now I understand why rubio didn't want to play for them.

MemphisX what is your take on this?

LA actually rejected this trade the first time. their GM isn't much better than Memphis's GM. he said he would only trade Randolph if it was a basketball decision....Lol

I think the Griz need his salary just to get to the minimum requirement. They are not going to get an expiring this year without giving up some talent, so a person with a two year contract was the best they can do. How many teams have productive players with 2 year contracts that are going to give up for Richardson.

You mean you wouldn't trade Pau Gasol for Zach Randolph?

As someone who defended the Gasol salary dump, this is ridiculous. I think Randolph is a better offensive player and rebounder than Gasol, but still.

    LOL.

I would imagine Zach is going to have a hey day in downtown Memphis. Of all the places to go.

It would not surprise me if we woke up one morning to news of Zach's death, either through some sort of chemical overdose or crime. That guy really needs Dr. Phil in the worst way. Terribly sad. This guy makes Eddie Griffin look like a patron saint. What a waste of talent.

This trade could doom any chance of the Rockets in getting Camby. With Yao's future uncertain, I was hoping for Morey to try and get Camby. He would have been the best solution at the center position for the Rockets. :(

    Well lets see

    Randolph
    Gasol
    Warrick
    Arthur
    Thabeet
    Hadidi

    David Lee?

I see someone getting FedExed pretty soon and the name Gasol just fits the bill perfectly!

He's a stat filler, but a loser. A lot like former Grizzles player Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

I'm just curious. What has he done off the court that makes people think he's not a saint?

That being the point. When he's been a end of the bench guy he was in the playoffs, when he became a star, his teams sucked. He became a starter and the Blazers started missing the playoffs. In the two seasons post Randolph they've went 41-41, and then made the playoffs. The Knicks got better without him. The Clippers got him and went on to land the first pick. He has been traded three times for cap space now. How embarassing.
