And why would he choose the Clippers over the other LA team, the Lakers? Or the Spurs? Or the Rockets? Or the Thunder? Or the Sixers? Or basically a handful of teams before you get to the Clippers?

Think Chris would recommend the Clippers to him? Think Chris will turn back around to LA after one season?

"Yo Chris, tell me about LA. Not the city but the Clippers. Tell me about the Clippers. Would you recommend them? Wanna join me back in LA?"

Can you imagine Ballmer fires Doc Rivers and gets Lebron and they hold onto DeAndre Jordan and use those picks to unload Gallo and sign Paul George or another free agent and then Ballmer convinces Chris Paul to come back ....... HAHAHHAHAHA......hahhahahah..........wait

They would need some things to go right for them, but they will be possibly in a position to trade quite a bit of contracts and still have assets to trade for someone if they choose to. That would mean a lot of roster flexibility. The Lakers will need to move Deng. They can make that happen, but will they be willing to move the assets necessary? How much input would James have with the Lakers? The Clippers can present an enticing option for James with Ballmer willing to take input from James and Jerry West recruiting.

The Spurs are obviously enticing, but are a small market team. Same with the Thunder. How much input would James have in Philadelphia?

I don’t think it is anything close to a guarantee, or the Clippers would be the favorites over the Rockets or another team or two. However the Clippers (with luck and going all in) can make themselves very attractive if James wants to be in a large market, with a top notch front office and the flexibility to add other significant pieces through free agency.

Also, I have heard NOTHING of Chris Paul being interested in going back to LA. However all the thinks Paul hated with the Clippers will be gone. Griffin and both Rivers.

Chris Paul was right about the Clippers Players in the locker room, now look at them now, Blake Griffin deserved what he got, let's see what happens in Detroit with his Fake Tough personality. Picking on little guys, beating up a trainer weaker shorter than you, Blake should be in Jail right now, but hey sports let Rich athletes get away with anything these days. Kendall Jenner is a model, She will break up with him, she ain't Kate Upton. ESPN and Media won't protect him anymore, watch what happens now and out, "Oh Blake Griffin is bust, Stephen Curry, James Harden surpassed him". Stephen A Smith, Max Kellerman most ESPN personalities flip flop. " Lebron James Cavs He's the MVP" now " Cavs dysfunction" Blame Kevin Love" "Isaiah Thomas will boost this team" "Isaisah Thomas gets Blame". Stephen A Smith biggest Flip Flop ever. Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, a terrible version of Pelicans, Stan Van Gundy wanted this trade no doubt, this trade will get him fired, for sure. This 80s style won't work, Drummond is a terrible shooter freethrow shooter, Blake Griffin has a awkward shot. He thought the Clippers and ESPN media has back, Watch what happens now, His career is now going to fall off big time, being a irrelevant, overpaid player, Playoff teams sure, but Clippers team is the Pistons now, Andre Drummond is Deandre Jordan.

Don't you have LeBron landing in OKC? LeBron wants to play with Westbrook & PG, OKC more attractive! blahblahblah...

    You'd like that, wouldn't you?

"Chris Paul leaves Rockets after one season, heads back to LA." HAHAHAHAHAHA

That's nice. And they're still the Clippers. ;) What are they gonna do, share stories of how many times they each lost in the Finals? ;)

How many good players combined with bad contracts would he clippers have to deal/take to acquire the Brooklyn pick from Cleveland?

Could Dj/Tobias/Lou for Tristan/isiah/Frye/crowder get you the Most coveted pick possibly available?

I dont begrudge the CP3 trade and am glad we have him.....BUT: I dont know of any other 'superstar' trade that has required teams to give up close to what we gave up for CP3. Griffin, George, Melo, etc. didnt come close to the load of talent we had to part with to get CP3.

This is why you don't want coaches for GMs.

They always make the win now move, the move that can get their team more wins at this moment and seem to lose sight of the bigger picture.

Thing is, I'm not sure Detroit is even a better team, they lost a ton of depth for this move, if they had kept Harris, maybe...
