it's not a successful season. no. they had higher goals.

but is it that surprising? no. the clips advanced, and played hard v a team that was superior. there isn't as much shame in that.

in our case, we grossly underachieved v a team that was not superior. so we had a even more unsuccessful season if that makes sense.

This just shows that Vinny Del Negro is an elite coach. After all, he's been able to carry the Clippers on his shoulders with decidedly less talented teams to the same place as Rivers with superior talent.

    Fire McHale!
    Hire DEL NEGRO!!

    Another failed season.
Another 2nd round exit for Chris Paul.

    Yup.

Another year where the media just assumes they will win, and they end up in the exact same spot that they always do.

Doc Rivers hasn't changed anything in LA. This idea of changed culture is absurd.

The Clippers players were all smiles and giggles when they were up double digits and stole home court in the series. As soon as the shooting evened out they didn't know what to do.

I think they have to keep trotting out that core and hope that they develop a legitimate third wheel to get them over the hump... but Paul is now 31 and Griffin isn't a leader.
