I used to hate that rule, it was a cheap cop out. Instead of actually punishing those who were wrong.

Are we really still calling the Lakers, the Fakers?? I mean they have won the last two championships, I think for now they, at the very least, deserve to be called the Lakers until they dont win it again. maybe even hold off on that name until they actually suck..... On the topic of this thread though, that was a little bit of an overreaction by the refs to toss 4 players for what only 2 players did. Odom and Davis should have probaly been ejected but Griffin and Artest didn't do much although its hard to blame them with Artest given his history. In the end though, none of this matters because it didnt affect the game at all and I would be shocked if any of them got suspended for it.
Getting ejected with 5s left in a game is probably better than adding an extra technical to their count given how they're thrown around like confetti this season.
Poor Artest, he was probably ejected because he has a history of trouble. I remember hearing from a broadcast when he was with the Rockets that the refs were targeting him because of that brawl. Griffin didn't do anything. He couldn't have done more to keep himself from being ejected. The only thing he could do to keep him from being ejected is to curl himself into the fetal position Referee FAIL!
He's playing with playoff level intensity and some guys find that disrespectful, especially with the game wrapped up.(Going hard for an offensive rebound off a free throw)lol. That being said, I'm not one of those guys and I appreciate the young fella and his work ethic.
Who cares? It didn't affect the outcome of the game, and the Technicals on Griffin and Artest will assuredly be revoked.
the current nba governing regime is untenable and a soon-to-be dinosaur. what a stupid ****ing group of jackasses that have been blighting the game since 1984
For being a rookie, Griffin is pretty smug. i think players are getting tired of it. That being said, he's on my fantasy team and better not be suspended!
It's just him, he plays hard for 48 minutes(not literally). If the comp can't adjust, **** em. Get the W and the respect.
@johnhollinger Just finished watching LAL-LAC. Odom was right. No reason for Blake to contest that board, game was over. He was just trying to get to 20.
Sorry Johnny, there was still time on the clock so Griffin had every right to contest that board. Yeah it was pointless, but that doesnt mean Odom was right there. I for one like to see players play hard til the end... I dont care if the game is "over" or not. It ain't technically over til the clock says 0.00.
