At least Clinton said he regret not doing enough. The right wringers don't even admit that.

I have no problem with people criticizing Clinton for not doing more about OBL, I just have a BIG problem with that coming from right wringers who did even less.

Maybe what Clinton is saying will not affect Bush's supporter at all. I suspect maybe some of them will think this:

The biggest cause of Clinton's failure, according to him, seems to be his inability to get the CIA to certify that Bin Laden was involved in the terrorist attacks.

Now, what if Bush were president during that time instead of Clinton?

He would've gotten rid of the intelligence folks who didn't agree with him and cherry-picked intel that would suit his purposes. He also would've authorize torture to get the verification we needed to invade Afghanistan.

Of course, Bush wouldn't have stopped at Afghanistan, so if Bush were president then, we would have the exact same mess that we have now, except a few years earlier.

The republicans are obsessed with that one thing, because they had no other way to attack Clinton.

I don't give a **** about Clinton's getting a bj. He did his job well, a lot better than the two Bush's add together.

they were talking about it as early as 1998 in the project for a new american century documents.

they talked about taking control of iraq and how we would need a "pearl harbor type attack" to get the american people behind it.

9/11 gave them the perfect excuse to invade iraq. very convenient, wasnt it?

He would have cherry-picked intel and invaded Iraq a few years earlier. He ONLY got interested in invading Afghanistan AFTER 9/11 and that interest didn't even last long.

Nah, they are just jealous that they don't get laid, especially in the oval office. Power and sex, aren't that what lots of people want? If they can't have it, they attack the ones who had that.

Besides, isn't that the ultra old polical playbook? If you can't attack one's work, attack his/her personal life or personality.

I doubt anyone would make Clinton uncomfortable in front of camera, in a straight up debate. Clinton is a natural. On the other hand, the monkey ...

Yup. Always fun to watch people take it to a personal level.

Quite frankly, everyone who has posted in this thread disgusts me. A bunch of whiny partisan finger-pointers.

Of course, Republicans always ignore the fact that the Republican Congress fought against and stalled Clinton's anti-terror efforts.

Thank you... This thread is just ridiculous. A group of terrorists that hijacked 3 planes on 9/11/2001 were responsible for the deaths of over 3000 people, not Clinton or Bush.
