my favorite part of the interview is the half-assed apology he gives after being probbaly pimpslapped by his agent, owner, lawyer, and mother. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2878099
I would suspect there a lot of people who don't care about a guy fighting dogs. some who may think its stupid. and then some who love animals and might think its the one of the most inhumane things in the world.
I dont think you have to be a dog lover to see that dogfighting is rightfully classified as a felony.
I bet there are a lot more people than you think who probably couldn't careless about some guys fighting dogs. I'm not defending it, I just realize that alot of people probably don't care.
You know, I think dogfighting, cockfighting, bullfighting, any kind of animal fighting is wrong (when it's not natural), but to me, I find it hard to really summon up a whole bunch of care when I have no problem sending some of these animals to their death just so I can have some fried chicken or a nice steak. Is it because we slaughter those animals in a relatively humane way that we feel we can get on our high horse about something like this?
its a twisted world we live in. no matter if its religion, politics, or many other things. eat a pig everything is ok. eat a dog or cat and most people would think the world is coming to an end.
I saw the interview and he is just ignorant, with a splash of stupidity...It's the above the law mentality...
good question, i dunno though. i guess it's similar to why we use lethal injection for death row inmates rather than torturing them to death.
