Can we talk about how good Capela looked against Towns last night? I was worried Towns was going to eat but Capela had him SHOOK. That monster block Capela had on him was sick. I guess Capela has PLENTY of time to play PUBG before game 2, eh KAT? Capela: 10-15 fg 24 points 12 rebounds Towns: 3-9 fg 8 points 12 rebounds Capela owns. PAY HIM.
Capela is officially good enough to be part of a big 3 esp with harden and Cp3 feeding him. perfect foil for them and exact player our offense needs But according to _holic, Capela is JAP and Joe Cheese, Dwayne Deadman, Chianuanauna Onaunauanku, Jared Uthoff, Jeff Withey, Thong Maker etc are all better LMAO
Capela straight up broke KAT’s will with that block. He’s gonna own him the rest of the way. Capela plays on energy and from acknowledgement from his teammates. Harden and company do a really good job
I saw Towns' soul leave his body when he got blocked in the first quarter. Scared the hell out of me....
On a related note, Minny's bigs were grabbing tons of key rebounds in the second half, outside of Capela we couldn't handle them on the glass. We needed every last thing that Harden and Capela gave us. Good thing they showed up.
This. That one on one block took Towns by surprise. Coupled that with the double teams, and you can tell dude was a bit shaken afterwards. Still, Towns scored only 8 points. Look for them to try to establish KAT in the low post. Continue with the double teams and play the passing lanes for steals and easy points.
I loved the game he has BUT His second half concerned me Why did he only get like 4 points in the second half? When he can do it in both halves (after adjustments) he will be truly beast Rocket River
Definitely. However it was Towns' first playoff game so I expect in the next game to be much better and mentally prepared.
The title reads too much like a @Carl Herrera thread. Instant ban plz @FTW Rockets FTW @Snow Villiers @KingCheetah @tinman @DaDakota
A lot of people in the forum have been freaking out over our switching approach. I am for it. I think KAT will have a much better game next time around, but he is young, and is clearly feeling the pressure a little. He is not very quick, and I'm okay with him trying to play post vs. CP3/JH/etc. and then trying to get steals from his blind side as a gamble.
Wol Wolves adjusted the lines of attack. Their position On the pnr really took it away and our wings weren’t hitting. If we rotate the whole system about 30 degrees, it will create some lanes. Or a second cutter after they sag on capela, run capela all the way under the basket, collapsing. Trailing CP3 for an easy 14 footer or green dunk. Call it avalanche.
That's what happens when the D keys in on you and you aren't a superstar like Harden. Thibs made it a point for their D to take away Capela's lobs and box him out to prevent putbacks. It was actually a really good adjustment. Unfortunately, they still failed to double Harden early and on the other end, failed to take advantage when KAT was matched up against smaller guys, namely CP3.
Told y'all KAT is soft. Total clown on Defense. Can't guard anyone. On offense, he had EG on him and didn't bother to make a move or shoot. Something is wrong with this guy. So talented, but will end up with a career like Joe Barry Carroll or Benoit Benjamin instead of Hakeem, Ewing, or Robinson.
