Capela is averaging 15 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, and 1.4 per 36 Dwight is averaging 16 points, 15 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 3.5 TOs per 36 I hate to say it because I like Dwight, but you got to look to trade him by the trade deadline. Not because I think he's going to leave in free agency (I don't) , but rather I think it would be a mistake to give him the long term contract he'll be seeking.
Capela will be a better player than Dwight within 2 years, maybe by next year. He still has some growing to do, but his trajectory is up, Dwight's is down.
I doubt it. He will still get a big pay day from someone else after this season. Can't say the same after next season.
Dwight will opt in most likely even though I hope he leaves in FA.he is to expensive with the health and offensive bball IQ issues
Capela is still highly inexperienced. You don't start him, unless we're going for lottery or bring in Durant, or someone like that.
Per 36 means very little when you talk about a player who most of his time has gone against bench players and doesn't get NEAR 30 mpg on average.
we probably lost the knicks game because capela couldn't stay on the floor 36min after fouling so much
The Rockets are 5-10 after 15. They lost 26 all last year. This team isn't going anywhere. Maybe Capela isn't ready to be the full time starter but it's not like this team is going anywhere with Howard this season or beyond it. I'd rather Capela start and continue to get better. It's gotten THAT bad. This team stinks. Time to start thinking about the post Howard & Harden era
i agree with this. dwight makes a lot of mistakes. defense aside, he doesnt do too well against stronger centers in the league. i like him as a person, but have to be real as a critic.
