I was looking for updates on Clint. This is all I found as of Jan 9. Anyone have any insider additions to this report?

Coach Mike D'Antoni said Monday that Capela (leg) remains "on target" in his recovery, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.

Spin: Capela was given a four-to-six-week recovery timetable back on Dec. 20 after he was diagnosed with a fractured left fibula, so it appears the Rockets are still aiming to have him back in late January or early February. The Rockets could specify a target date for Capela once he's reevaluated in a week, but in the meantime, Montrezl Harrell and Nene Hilario will continue to hold down the fort at center. Harrell has been by far the more prolific performer of the two, averaging 15.5 points (on 68.8% shooting), 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 blocks in 27.8 minutes per game over the past 10 contests.

Let him heal completely. No need to rush things, as we're not doing too shabbily without him for now.

So the update on Capela is that Montrezl is doing well. Neat.

I had no idea harrell had last night's game in him. In particular, his block on Kyle Lowry late in the game litterally deflated the raptors at a key moment. However, Harrell's offensive side of the game is going SO well, that I wonder if his two breakout performances are more a product of the system he plays in rather than his actual skill. If that's true, maybe Capela is not as good as we thought, or maybe any player with bounce, hustle and wingspan will do just fine in the paint in this system. By that logic, KJ McDaniels could put up monster numbers at center if he got the minutes.

Can anyone prove me wrong? Was the Rockets offense that much more dynamic when Capela was playing? Was their defense that much worse? I don't miss Capela simply because every extra minute he misses is another minute that Harrell could develop into a more complete Capela 2.0. (This whole theory changes if Harrell suddenly started shooting 3's again and suddenly Harrell is looking like the better option of the two)
