Imagine thinking a defensive center that doesn't have any offensive move is our MVP. Yikes.

Remember when Capela was the only Rocket cheering on the bench when Harden made his game-winner Game 4 vs Golden State, 2016 ?

Now, he'll be in the game.

CP3's "midrange layups" kept our offense in the game last night every time it started to sputter. Very few people can do what he does as consistently as he does it, and all of the ones who can, are all-stars. I don't know who's more important between him and Clint, but both are indispensable if we want to contend for a championship.

CP3's perimeter 1 v 1 defense is no longer considered great, that much is true. The quicker guards in the league will beat him with speed and quickness.

However the value of his defense is his quick hands, strength and general hustle on rotations that is unmatched by most guards in the league.

Chris Paul can switch onto bigger players and not get abused. He also plays the passing lane very well and gets a lot of deflections and steals because he knows where to go on defense.

come on man, did you even bother watching the video you linked. That was more like a defensive highlight of CP3. The little things he does on defense is pretty amazing. He fought through all the screens, rotated well on every possession. If all the players can move like him on defense.
